Comment: Incredible food, incredible service and incredible prices! We came in while traveling through Buffalo on our honeymoon and we were blown away at how good the sushi was at this restaurant. The place was incredibly clean, the server was the best we’ve had in our whole road-trip, attentive and friendly. We even got to talk to the owner/chef who has been running the business for about 20+ years. They also offer GF soy sauce. We will definitely make sure to come back next time we’re in Buffalo!

Comment: As a sushi connoisseur, I can strongly say that Sakura has the best sushi in all of Buffalo. Their sushi and sashimi always taste fresh and melt right in your mouth. They differentiate themselves from all other sushi restaurant with their variety of tasty, creative options. The Joey is my favorite appetizer (you must try it) and their Cheektowaga roll will make you want to come back for more. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming, the overall ambience of this place is awesome. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I cannot rave about this place enough; I find myself ALWAYS craving Sakura. Highly recommend you eat here anytime you want sushi!

Comment: I had occasionally patronized here a handful of times some years ago and recently following this Covid fiasco have been seeking out alternate options for dining. I know I had friends who swore by this place as being the best in the area and I dont know if its just my tastes are different, that Im less of a connoisseur or what, but its not my favorite. Note, I only do vegetarian rolls so this is a VERY limited review. Im used to sweet potato rolls usually having a different texture due to having the tempura batter on the sweet potato but both times the rolls have been really soggy, like a very odd texture. Also, its inconsistently cooked so parts are like soft while other pieces of sweet potato are raw. Overall Ive had better in the area, though its not terrible. Also the staff has been decent.I know these are kind of minor complaints but for the price, which is more than all other places Ive ordered from, especially for the size of the roll which is smaller than some of the places, Id rather patronize somewhere else that needs more exposure as this place has a longstanding clientele base. However 6.50 for a roll that is no more than 5.00 everywhere else is a big difference, just saying.

Admittedly I am very picky when it comes to sushi but truly savor what does fit in my personal guidelines. Sakura has a delicious vegetarian sweet potato roll where the potato has been prepared with a tempura coating, to order. Delicious!Unfortunately there are not many other options besides for non seafood or vegetarian fare, granted it may not be necessary for its majority of customers. I just know based on the quality and flavor of the aforementioned selection that equal detail and taste would be enveloped into another delicious option, and alternative for those with either dietary restrictions or just looking for a variance for their palate.Staff I encounter is always pleasant and take out orders are very prompt and never longer than estimate given at time of order. Details of the chef also do not go ignored by me. Price is fantastic given quality of ingredients and attention given by kitchen staff. Even if I personally do not eat the majority of the menu I cant ignore the vast selection of rolls available besides vegetarian.

Comment: Went here based on the other reviews when all the other restaurants in the area were packed. Turned out to be the best sushi Ive had in Buffalo, the hostess (owner?) is great. Would highly recommend.

Comment: Great selection of sushi, loved the cheesy 80s covers (I couldnt stop chuckling at some of the music) but I thought the quality overall was just average to above average. Very good, but better places to get sushi in Buffalo in my opinion. Great value, however!

Comment: Visited Sakura Sushi yesterday. Our waitress was amazing! I think her name was Sheryl. We have NEVER had such a friendly and courteous waitress! The food was amazing too! My wife and I will definitely go there again, and would highly recommend others go there too!

Comment: Seeing 8 five-star reviews, I thought at least half of them had to be shills. They arent. This is an extraordinary dining experience.From the ambiance, to service, to ...the food, this was just simply outstanding. The outside is unexceptional, but inside is delicately reminiscent of Japanese balance and understatement. We had the Ginger Mountain, the Special Spicy roll, and a Ginger ?dragon? roll. Each was delectable, and distinctly different from the others. We had a pistachio Gelato swirl, which was also perfect, and one of the best of this genre. About $9-15 for a specialty roll, about average. We paid $55 for two, plus a $15 tip.Overall, a spectacular dining experience, at a very reasonable price.
