Comment: I ordered out from Sapporo Ichiban because I could not go out. Food came faster than I expected. I went to eat at the place long time ago and other than that I only got deliveries. About the quality of fishes, the price should be lower than this, but I understand the cost of living in Greenpoint, so I look over it.My order was.....- Shoyu Ramen: broth with braised pork belly, egg, shredded, wood-ear mushroom, bamboo shoots and fish cakes. 6/10- Mixed Seafood Salad: Shrimp, Octopus, Squid, Kani with spring mix. 6/10- Manhattan Roll: Spicy crunchy salmon roll, tuna, salmon and avocado on top. 6/10- Tuna Jalapeno Roll: Small 8 pcs 8/10- Bonzai Tree: Crab avocado, caviar, ebi wrapped with cucumber. 7/10The score I gave are quality/price/and taste. I can say if you want to eat take out quality sushi in a budget, Sapporo will be another choice that isnt too bad.

The sushi boat is beautiful, the sashimi is so fresh. This is an awesome sushi spot to come with friends and/or family. I recommend trying their food and sushi boat. You wont be disappointed.

Comment: The best sushi! It’s so fresh and the quality of the fish is always the best. They definitely don’t cheap out on the cuts, they’re huge! Comment: The food is pretty great! i love coming here for the food especially the lunch special but the female worker who works at the front needs to have some customer service training. she always has an attitude whenever i order and she never says thank you nor you’re welcome nor anything. she has no manners. she’s not just rude to me but my friends who also order from here and she’s rude to my coworkers. she has a serious attitude problem. if you’re going to work in a food serving business then customer service should be considered when handling customer orders. i always try to be nice and kind even when the female workers are being impatient and are projecting their attitude with me but they just continue with their attitude. one time my friend was ordering and wanted to know what her dish came with and the girl gave her so much sass and such a weird rude tone which switched up the entire vibe for us. she’s really the one who has a bad attitude… everyone else is pretty kind and overall the food and place is nice and so i will continue ordering and buying from this establishment but please consider some customer service training for the young lady at the front.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to ramen dishes here in NYC, but this one is really good. While it doesn’t hold my number one spot of best ramen places, this is very much a great number 2 place. I had the miso ramen and the bowl they give you is rather large and the amount of broth they give you is so plentiful. Most don’t provide you with that much broth. Especially since the broth was so good. I would definitely come back here. Thank you for the great service!

You can go there for a dinner date, fill two tummies with 9/10 sashimi with a couple of rolls and get a great buzz from highly serviceable house hot sake for less than $35/person. If I have one complaint its that the mochi is usually a little stale. Ah well. Cant have everything. Do us all a favor and give them your money. If good fish is your priority youll leave happy. Comment: Agree with all the 4 and 5 star reviews that follow. Have been going here for 4 years. 10 minute drive/20 minute subway from Manhattan, makes it my local Japanese hangout. (G Train stop on the corner for my drunken free sake nights!). Excellent Sake and tea. Lunch specials until 5pm. Authentic Japanese hot dishes. Superb friendly service. Frankie the head sushi chef fully butchers the fresh fish daily, so there is no stale, frozen flavor you get from the low volume sushi places.My friends Japanese wife also complains about the extra large sushi and sashimi pieces. Best advice is ask for a knife or go to your rip-off small sushi restaurants. Or ask them to cut it smaller for your small American mouths ahead of time.

Comment: Im a sushi snob. I live in an area of Los Angeles that has some of the best sushi in the States. This was as good as the best of my favorites.Thats worded in a more confusing way than it needs to be, just know its really good sushi.Very traditional simple plates with really generous cuts of fish. And the price was great for its quality.

Comment: Used to live above this place. Came back after a few years away and the sushi is still great. The rice has a nice flavor, sweet and a just a little salty. Which maybe sounds like a bad thing, but it wasnt. Prices are very fair, and at least some of the regular rolls come with 8 pieces. Shrimp tempura is crunchy without being overly so. Manhattan roll is tasty, for somewhat unadventurous folk such as myself. I dont think anything here will blow most people away in terms of its novelty, but its good sushi and nice staff.

Comment: Its the best cheap sushi in north Brooklyn. The cuts of fish are huge and portions are very generous. For example, the lunch rolls are 8-pieces ea instead of 6 (like most places). The chirashi is my favorite and its sometimes too much to finish. This is THE place to get your sushi fix.Huge caveat, the cooked food is pretty bad. If i were to rate this place based on the cooked food alone it would be 2-stars at best. Stick to the sushi!

Comment: This is the best sushi Ive found so far in Greenpoint. Dont get me wrong, this is still Japanese food made by non-Japanese people. Nothing worth writing home about, but still pretty good if you really need to scratch that Japanese food itch. They make a mean salmon skin roll. Oh and free sake with dinner is always nice even if its not the greatest sake.

Comment: Team unlimited sake! i like the atmosphere of this joint better than other neighborhood sushi places (who knew polish people liked sushi so much as to support more than one restaurant?). id rate the sushi as about the same - pretty darn good!
