Comment: The food was very good. I ordered the tantanmem and it wasn’t too spicy to be overpowering. I wish there was more peanut flavor to it. The chasu is really well cooked — not too fatty, well seared.My biggest problem is that it’s not very well suited for people with allergies. Not just in terms of food but also service. The servers had a hard time figuring out what dishes would conflict with general allergies, not only at my table but I heard the same problem at others.

Comment: Pretty average quality ramen and katsu. The reason it has such high reviews is likely because its in a very tourist centric location. Can find much better Japanese spots nearby in Hells Kitchen and Midtown East. Credit to the waiters though for handling so many customers despite having a small staff.

Comment: The service was great! I got seated as one person super fast for an early dinner service. The atmosphere is very nice and I like the decoration and seating arrangements. I got the Shoyu King ramen. I really liked the flavor and everything that was included. I will say the cuts of pork were very thin and I’ve been to places that have cut it thicker and the price was a bit cheaper. However, as far as NYC ramen goes, this spot is great! I finished my whole bowl and will probably be back again to try their other menu items!

We really liked the Black King and Tonkotsu ramen - the broths were full of flavour.We also added on the mini rice bowl, which was very well worth the price. The unagi don was very freshly prepared and tasted awesome. The portion sizes of the mini rice bowls aren’t small, so order it if you have a big appetite! We left with a very full stomach.

It was not too busy, and they decorated the restaurant nicely with a lot of Japanese style decors.The food was delicious! The Tonkotsu ramen was very creamy and there were a good variety of toppings. The egg was cooked perfectly, but I wished it had a little bit more taste to it. I highly recommend adding the mushrooms topping for just a few more dollars. It was delicious on its own. The seaweed salad was good, but the scallops appetizer was just decent. I would try their house salad next time.I was content for the amount of dishes I ordered, and I could not finish. If I were with a friend, I would just add a few dollars for more ramen and share the soup. Definitely will return and bring some friends there.

But their lunch menu portion was so generous and totally Americanized, while clover us authentic Japanese. Chicken Katanga was big and juicy, definitely the best we ate in NYC. Ramen was good too. I orders half tantanmen +half chicken curry set, and he orders Karaage donburi and tonkotsu ramen. My half ramen size was almost as big as his full portion ramen. All so yummy too! We will be back.

Comment: I ordered from Uber Eats so I cant say anything about the atmosphere of Shinjuku Ramen; however, their Tonkotsu Ramen and Gyoza were both absolutely delicious. The broth of the ramen was creamy, the pork was tender, it was perfect. Everything was great. Despite it being a delivery, everything was packaged extremely well and the food was still hot when I received it. Great food, will definitely order again and go in person at some point.

The broth and chashu were really flavorful, and I’m a big fan of waves noodles so I was immediately hooked.The gyoza was another favorite for me of the night. Typically I feel neutral about gyoza, but I found these to be so fresh, flavorful, and the crisp texture of the shell wrapping was very satisfying. If you’re looking for some veggies to your meal, you definitely can’t go wrong with the edamame and shishito peppers. They’re simply seasoned yet packed with flavor. I also tried their ume soda, which was reminiscent of a refreshing peach soda.The service here is also friendly and quick!

Shinjuku Ramen is just few blocks from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Im glad we came to this restaurant rather than getting a sandwich from the deli downstairs. I always love ordering the skewers from the ramen restaurant. The skewers from Shinjuku Ramen were alrite. But the squid ink ramen really surprised me!! Never had it before, but its just so creamy and the ramen is so chewy! I would recommend it. The charisu that commes with it is also so tasty!
