Comment: My family and I have been coming here for over ten years now, this is a staple spot of ours as the food is consistently delicious and well made. The owners are lovely people and I cant recommend this place highly enough. Fair prices for large portions which isnt seen too often with Japanese restaurants. The out of control roll is amazing as well as the mushroom soup.

Comment: There are many sushi places here but this is the best sushi place between Merrick & Bellmore. The food is excellent and the staff is so nice. The food is always fresh. Avoid a place in Merrick named Sango and go to Shinsena instead! I do wish they would serve their lunch specials earlier in the day on Saturdays though. Thank you.

Comment: I have been going to this wonderful place for years now. After moving cross country, being gone for 2 years we come home craving sushi and again this amazing place did not disappoint! Such polite staff, quick service and the most delicious sushi I have ever had! Legit there is no place like this gem, I will never ever go anywhere else as long as they’re open.

Comment: Shisena Sushi is a hidden gem! I’ve been coming here with my family for years. The sushi is always very fresh and the selection of rolls is incredible. Lunch special from 11:30am - 3pm comes with a miso soup, salad, and any 2 rolls for $8.95 or any 3 rolls for $11.95. Can’t beat that! Lots of options. Can’t say enough great things about this place.
