Comment: This is a great option for Hibachi if we want to stay local. The food is pretty good, a tad salty but nothing unbearable. The hibachi chefs have great personalities and are respectful while being casually and jovial. The wait staff is attentive and accommodating. We came here on a Saturday for lunch, no wait. Friday night for dinner, we are so glad to have called in for reservation. It was very busy. Even with a reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes. Another family was just leaving as we came in and I overheard them say that it was a 40 minute wait.

Comment: My family & I love this place, my husband and I visit this place frequently for date nights. The food is great, the staff is friendly and it’s affordable. Definitely a gem of a hibachi location for queens. You can get sushi or have a hibachi dinner. Complete with the proteins your choice rice, noodles, vegetables, shrimp appetizer, salads and soup. Come in and try it, and if your coming a large party call ahead. It just makes it easy for your seating arrangements.

Comment: After calling several places, Shogun was the only place that was able to accommodate my party of 14. Very friendly, engaging, and attentive staff. The food show was great and delicious. Unfortunately, they dont have kids menus, but they were able to eat from my serving. Portions are perfect. Parking is not the best, so plan on going early to look for parking. I will definitely go back.

I was OK with it, thought it was funny and figured I got some free sake.As far as everything else, food was delicious and reasonably priced I thought. The guy was friendly and joked around a lot while he cooked. This was my first time trying hibachi ever, so I didnt really know what to expect, but I was not disappointed.

Comment: Came here with a reserved party of 6 for my birthday, and WOW! staff was insanely friendly, hibachi chef was insanely talented and food was phenomenal. Best sushi rolls Ive had in my life- so fresh and delicious cuts of meat and fish. My party and I were thoroughly impressed. My only issue, which is something I should have foreseen coming to a hibachi restaurant, was it was hard to talk to the entire table because of how the seats are spread out- again, thats nothing to do with the restaurant. I will definitely be back! I also appreciate the TWO birthday songs they provided me. It was really cute.

Comment: I totally enjoyed the food and the service. Our chef was so fun. I couldnt catch the food with my mouth but was so worth the try. Food was good. Not too pricey. Even sang Happy birthday in Japanese.

Comment: Great clean little store! Well organized. The only overbearing sections are the clothing & medicines. Plenty of good food selections. Clover Valley is their own basic brand & I like them. Great household, automotive, kids & baby sections. Greeting & wrappings - check! Basic electronic attachments. Pleasant shopping. Can sometimes be long checkout lines when busy. Jeremy is extra nice & helpful & most staff there have always been fairly helpful but I think they work long & weary shifts plus the store always seems generally shy a few people the staff could surely use. Decent pricing. Great parking!

The waiters were beyond nice, the hibachi chef was funny and entertaining knew how to engage with everyone at the table. Food was amazing. Something for everyone. Im a vegetarian so i appreciated that he made my meal first before preparing the meat meals on the table. Would definitely come back.

Comment: Compared to other food destinations in Forest Hills, food is good. In comparison to food destinations in NYC at large? Different story, but location is everything. The food is not bad as far as Hibachi restaurants go. The chefs were friendly and speedy in getting the food prepared. I tried the lamb hibachi and the chef cooked it as I liked. A lot of garlic butter is used in the fried rice, noodles, and vegetables side dishes which come with the meal--not complaining because I loved the taste, but buyer beware. I wasnt looking for an in-your-face cooking demonstration so the level of customer interaction was just my speed. Would come back if Im in the mood for American-Chinese.

Comment: Its a very good Hibachi place. Food is the Hibachi staples, steak and schrimp, chicken and schrimp, they do the volcano, etc. The food was very tasty. Its only negative, in my view is that they need to get rid if the carpets in the place and replace it with tile or something because the carpetting makes it smell a little in the place. Its not terrible, but if they did this, it would make for a more appealing ambiance and would probably help to bring their health department grade up from a B to an A.

Comment: This review will be short and to the point. There are pros and cons.Pros: the food si always good. The portions are good. The price i guess is a little high but i guess its about what youd expect.The staff is friendly.Cons: if you are going for the show, its nothing special. In fact the show aspect is probably in the bottom 10 ive ever had.You will get your volcano but thats pretty much it, and the chefs dont seem to have any excitement. This has been true the past 3 times I came here.If this was improved I would go here more often. But the food is great

Comment: Celebrated New Years w/20 family & friends, food & staff were great and very accommodating for our large crowd. Hibachi chefs very fun and entertaining with good selection of meat and fish. They were careful to ask about allergies and accommodated that as well. Service was awesome and everyone was given party favors and 2016 light up glasses the hit of the evening. Definitely will be back!
