Comment: I visited this place while waiting for the N31/N32 bus and I find that it is not the typical Chinese food serving offered at most Chinese restaurants. When you order Chicken Wing & Fried Rice it was just not the same in terms of price and serving. They’re not sold as a comb. I was disappointed. On a good note, the place is quite clean and appealing.

Comment: This is a well-kept old-school Chinese/Japanese food restaurant. The dining room is large with very pretty decor featuring paper lanterns and soft lighting. The service was perfect! The waiter brought over a pot of tea, water, and fried noodles right away. Took our orders promptly. The lunch specials had generous portions and were delicious! I had beef and broccoli with brown rice. My husband had eggplant and zucchini in garlic sauce. The prices were also great. There were many vegetarian options as well. If you are in the area, this place is highly recommended.

Comment: Hospitality Hospitality Hospitality... what Im trying to say is So Far So Good is Excellent at the Hospitality Factor. Every time I go here, solo, with a friend, or as a group, its like they were expecting you, they make you feel special and not in a fake way.Tonight was really busy, and I was solo, which means every table is better served for a couple or groups, but I was never made to feel like I wasnt just as important.Now, the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. Tonight I tried the Peking Duck and a roast pork appetizer. Forgot to take pics 📸 😳🤦🏾‍♂️ Everything was as stated before... delicious. Comment: Went for lunch. The decor is awesome and the service is really good too. The food was okay. My favorite part was the duck sauce and the fried wonton chips they give you to munch on. Egg roll was freshly made. The food was okay it would’ve been a 5 but the fried rice is premade so it was cold. Other than that the service was on point.

Comment: The food is absolutely the best Chinese food around. Best Young Chow fried rice in life. True authentic flavor, meats are succulent. You get what you pay for and the food is very pricey but worth it. However expensive they are, they are not in the habit of giving out freebies like most other Chinese restaurant establishments. You can spend well over $100 on take out and they wont even throw in a free bag of fried noodles. One time they delivered my food to an incorrect address. I had to wait THREE HOURS for my food. All I got was sorry, Im sure you understand, no soda, no free food, no noodles, NADA!!! I guess they are successful not only because the food is great but because they are cheap to their customers

Comment: Seen this place across the street when i was at cold stones. Told the wife lets try it out sometime. Later in the week we went. Nice atmosphere and serviers were nice and polite. Food came out fast and hot. Eggrole tasted bland, chicken fried rice was good, general taos shrimp and chicken was good, chicken with shrimp in garlic sauce was good, the pan fried chicken dumplings were not so good. Too much dough wraped up around the chicken. Overall it was not bad. I do see myself going back to try other dishes.

Comment: This is a do not miss in Lynbrook. Great food and great staff. They have very good lunch specials that comes with a choice of appetizer like soup or an egg roll. Unlike many other places, the choice for the lunch special is vast. The ambiance is old school Chinese restaurant but it is very clean. I love that they give you tea and fried noodles.

All the Chinese food down here in Florida is some of the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. All the food for that matter. The white rice is perfectly moist, there teriyaki chicken adds a pleasant and unexpected touch of tempura with a gorgeous glaze of mirin, soy, and what gives hints of brown sugar. To add to the fun, their miso soup is perfectly salted with smooth and perfectly cooked tofu chunks and hearty seaweed and their vegetables are cooked nicely with very light seasoning.This of course, was one meal but I look forward to trying more of their entree options as this place is incredibly high quality with a focus on not just speed, but exceptional taste.

Comment: My 12 year old son and his friend went for dinner tonight and were treated so nicely, they had such a great time and couldn’t believe how many servers attended to them … my son loves the food there we have been customers for over 30 years I’m elated that the staff sat the boys and showed them such respect. That doesn’t happen often these days, just shows what a wonderful family friendly and neighborhood devoted business they have! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff! And yes at 12 they even left an appropriate tip! Not as much as I would leave but now know to make sure next time we are there I take extra good care of not just a business but family to the town of Lynbrook and beyond!!

My favorite one was definitely the curry shrimp, very tasty. We also ordered spring rolls and dumplings for the appetizers which were nicely made and fresh to order. The sesame steak and sweet-and-sour chicken is fantastic really tasty. The Chrispy Chinese Noodles they serve with duck sauce and hot mustard sauce (as an complimentary appetizer) are literally the best youll ever have. The wait staff is always friendly the food arrives fast, hot and delicious.Hint: Get the Sweet and Sour Chicken with the sauce on the side and the last bite will be a good as the first. Comment: We were looking for authentic Chinese dishes.Or as authentic as we could find.I wanted the twins to taste something other than the nearby, ubiquitous Chinese food storefront dishes.After a quick Google search we were on our way to So far so good which is a Chinese food Restaurant in Lynbrook.We saw the brightly colored building as we pulled up and parked.Inside is decidedly decorated in traditional Chinese design.Our server was engaging and warm and made many suggestions.The pictures on the menu looked delish and I hoped the food was just as good.I was not disappointed!!The food here is GREAT! We ordered fried rice,Yung chow,lo mein,chow mein,General Tso and shrimp and broccoli.All delicious!!Looking to go back this weekend.Highly recommended.

Comment: So Far So Good is my all-time favorite go-to for Chinese food. The decor is lively, and the staff is upbeat and attentive. The food is delicious. Our standard order includes their crispy egg rolls, amazingly plump rounded pork fried dumplings, juicy bbq ribs and flavorful pork fried rice. We do always manage to take food home and delight in eating round two. When I have dined with the girls we have split a few entrees, so we get to try a few more good things. Their shrimp and lobster dishes are always tasty as has been their chicken dishes with vegetables. Next time you are heading to the western south shore of Long Island, stop first at So Far So Good. You will not be disappointed!

Comment: Dont understand the reviews that said the place was expensive. The food is appropriately priced. We dont like a thick noodle in the wonton soup. We prefer a Hong Kong style thinner noodle. So we order the Big Bowl soup which is sufficient for two people. The price is close to two orders of soup. Everything we order comes as requested. If we want no peppers we get no peppers. If we order fried wontons well done they come that way. The staff is more cordial than most places. We travel 30 minutes to get our Chinese on because the food is so good even if it is so far.
