Comment: The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, the food is absolutely fresh and the whole experience and idea is top notch.You have the buffet style for 22.99 and then you can add a la carte seafood or meat (5 to 7$)So the prices are very affordable for what you get.You then choose the sauce and from the buffet you add all that into the sauce that is boiling in the table in front of you.I went for the first time and had three other people with me. Comment: Fun place to take visitors who have never had hot pot before. There are tons of options to add to your pot and its buffet style. You honestly can skip purchasing meat to add to the pot and just use the buffet items. The soft serve ice cream is always a perfect ending to the meal especially if you order the spicy kimchi broth which is no joke SPICY! There is a lot of seating. The bathrooms always need cleaning in my opinion.FYI The price is on the high end for hot pot. Park underneath the building where the restaurant is located to get your parking ticket validated.

Comment: Every time I come here I leave happy and well fed. All their food options are extremely high quality and very tasty. The Chinese Mala broth is my personal favorite, sooo delicious. It’s an all you can eat buffet (go ready to feast) at the best price point in New York. The best part of this restaurant is after all that delicious food at the end you grab cone of Green Tea soft serve and it’s the most refreshing and enjoyable ice cream ever. I’ve been coming to this place for six years now and I will keep coming for many more.

I enjoyed the pork broth and the experience of fish cakes, veggies, and noodles. The place is immense and clean. Our waitress was lovely and explained the choices and what was very popular. They also have a fine selection of sauces at the sauce bar. Green tea and vanilla ice cream were ridiculously delicious. This place is lovely, and for the price, it’s a steal. I recommend you go here for the ambiance and the excellent service and of course the food.

I like my own personal pot or broth ( Chinese mala ), we ordered Prime beef, Rib eye, pork belly, pork dumplings and seafood combo, they was so fresh.Love the variety of the greens and so many fish ball and noodle to choose from. They have D.I.Y. sauce station which you can personalize your own dipping sauce.Can’t leave without trying the matcha ice cream.This is such a fun experience, we are definitely coming again 🤩.

Comment: This is a good place for you and your colleagues to have a nice Friday night meal after work. Shabu Shabu has an excellent buffet with wide varieties of hot pot flavors, meats, and veggies. Its a treat to see how people get together to cook food in their broth, chit-chat, and eat their food. I used to love going there in the winter season as the warmth from the food and company of your friends brings to back to life and gives a kick start to your weekend. There are no reservations or take outs as this is a buffet. Waiting line can get a little hectic and we need to wait, however the waiting area is not fledged with good seating and can be vexing in the sweltering winter cold of queens. Do come with preparations.Coming to the food:1. Try taking rib eye beef and spinach noodles and they tend to cook quicker.2. Broth to use can be kimchi (gives out good flavor)3. I just love and adore their peanut and seasoned sauces.4. In the sea food section the fish cakes and king crab are delicious.5. For kids you get chicken nuggets, fries, kebabs, and so on.5. The dessert section is filled with softies, chocolate cakes, vanilla cakes, and a chocolate fountain.6. Lets not forget the vegetarian section as they have a salad bar, a vegan table, and a few other items that can be either grilled or boiled.Looking forward to my next encounter with Spring Shabu - Shabu.

Food has many varieties, like ramen, it might have five to six different kind of noodles...It’s a buffet. But meat, seafood and drink are additional charges. I think its fine dining environment overall. What my complaint was the stove. I need to constantly adjust it. 3 would be too high, soup rushed out of the pot, 2 would be too low, it takes too long to boil. Overall, I think its a great place for foreigners to try or experience hot pot.

It is so reasonably priced (around $20 for the buffet with your choice of broth) and very clean. The meat or seafood add ons are also around $10 per plate. I wish they had chocolate ice cream also. So you go up and get any greens, salad, additions to your soup. They have choices of meats which you pay for individually by ounce. Then you throw all of the food into the pot in the middle. As the water boils and cooks it and you eat. They welcome all races. It’s about $35 a person. The buffet is always fully stocked with great fresh veggies and noodles. It’s completely possible to eat your fill without ordering extra meat or seafood. We ordered one of each beef (four kinds), lamb, and tripe. Lots of veggies.Service was semi self service. The buffet was a buffet. Utensils and everything can be taken from the corner. Busiest of all the restaurants in the building. Has most vegetables, so it was great but basic meats selection. $31 a person for all you can eat was reasonable in that area. That being said, everyone enjoyed it. No more cash discounts. Could use more desserts (no fruit?!?) but the ice cream was the tops.

Comment: I took my family who were visiting from Virginia here and they had the best time, especially the kids. Our server was super patient with explaining what all the brooth bases were and any other questions my family had. The kids really really enjoyed going to pick out their veggies, noodles, and assorted sauces to cook in their brooth. Everything, and i mean absolutely everything was delicious. In fact one of my nephews who hates vegetables ate more veggies than the meats and seafood. My sister in law whos a pescatarian, had an amazing selection to choose from. In fact she ended getting the seafood combo and was super happy with her choice. My big brother, the kids, and I had practically all of the different types of meats and the pork and beef gyoza dumplings, and loved everything. And everything was kept sooooooo clean. Seriously, the veggie, noodles, and sauce buffet was kept ridiculously clean, which is a major plus in this age of COVID. Taking my family here solidified my place as favorite aunt, and my niece and nephews have already asked if they can come back to eat here the next time they come to visit me.

Comment: Ive been coming here since they 1st ever opened at this location.Gets pretty busy on the normal nights and weekends.Atmosphere is pretty chill and laid back and its pretty good for coming with large groups for a pot pot restaurant. But remember your entire party needs to be present to seat.If youre a single individual or a 2top you will be able to get seated faster.I would like to see a little bit more better options on the Protein side in regards to the availability of different quality meats and seafood. Cant say its improved that well over the years so it could use more work menu wise.I will say I think sauce table has pretty good options.Overall if you need a basic spot for hot pot cravings then I would recommend and its also fairly affordable.For parking, there is a very large private parking lot across the street. You pay on your phone or with the their app. They mainly have you pay on your phone but be aware they do have someone that walks around the cars and checks the license plates to make sure you paid for your parking time so Ill remember it is not free!!!

There was a fly that is near our table and suicided into the broth... The manager did provided us a solution to work around. If you come in with group of 2 and they have reasonable amount of empty table, you might want to avoid sitting on that table. We usually came here and eat all the vegetable options that they provided. The crab roll with chesse on it is the best we had tried, Highly recommended. The mala broth they provided is not spicy at all. If you are looking for something spicy, it is not your right place. I assume most people reading will know what hot pot is, but Ill give a summary: you choose a broth and they give it in a pot on a stove in front of you at the table. You can order whatever slices of meat you desire with the server. Then, you get up and get/make different sauces (e.g. peanut sauce, thai chili sauce, etc.) and vegetables. Its basically all-you-can-eat buffet style as you can get base broth refills. They also have an ice cream machine with green tea soft serve which was delicious!I absolutely loved this place (and hot pot in general)! They had a huge variety of vegetables, noodles, and small savory items (like fish cakes/vegetable balls). Also a huge variety of sauces and oils for dipping. The prices here were pretty good too ($22 for the all-you-can-eat vegetables and broth, then $4-5 for slices of meat). Definitely want to go to Flushing again for Hot Pot.

Our temperature was taken upon entering, hand sanitizer was readily available, and barriers were placed in front of the host stand. Comment: Pleasantly surprised! We werent sure what to expect at a buffet-style shabu shabu place, but we ended up really liking the food here. They dont take reservations so theres a bit of a wait but its not too bad because they have a big waiting area with lots of seating. We waited 30 min or so at 6pm on a Saturday. Its definitely crowded and loud inside so be prepared for that. You still need to order the meat, but it was very reasonably priced, high quality and full of flavor. It was also really nice to have your own pot so each person can choose the soup base they want vs having to share with your party. Service was not bad but they are so busy sometimes its hard to flag someone down. Great experience overall.

Comment: OK food, fairly good service and a weird system of charges.The food here was generally fine and mostly fresh. The pots were a bit small. Soup base was just average. You get charged once for the buffet which is mostly vegetarian items, and separately for each type of meat as well as the pot but price overall is still fair. Items and pots were served surprisingly quickly and they have a ice cream machine to get vanilla or matcha ice cream for dessert which was a nice touch. Items are labelled in Korean, Chinese and English.

Comment: Fresh and great service. You can go vegan, vegetarian or a choice of meats to go with your choice of broths. The hot pots are recessed into the table and get really hot, so be careful if you bring the kids, but there were a lot of kids there and seemed like a good place for families as well.The huge selection of vegetables, noodles, tofu and fish cakes are kept very cold and all seemed very fresh.

Comment: With all-you-can-eat-hotpot buffet, it’s a great place for hotpot. You will have to order any beef/seafood for your order. Most of the time we just order a beer for hotpot. It can get very busy during weekend and holiday. Weekday lunch is the better. Try their house blended dipping sauce!

Comment: So many choices! You get your own individual hot pot so no need to share. Choice of broth plus all you can eat noodles, tofu, fish cakes, veggies and sauce. Theres a whole long row of different noodles! Plus soft serve vanilla or green tea ice cream to finish off your meal. Reasonable additional price for meats and seafood.

Comment: Good selection of vegetables, noodles, mushrooms, and fish balls. But meats are not part of all you can eat and you need to pay extra for each dish. The service was good. The servers came by frequently to refill the broth and take the empty plates away..The place is pretty but it is very popular and there could be a long wait on weekends. There is a big waiting room where you can sit.

Comment: Honestly, everything is there, there isn’t anything missing. The wait was 20-30 minutes, it’s ok. You have 5 selections for broth. The spiciest ones aren’t overly spicy. You can get a variety of things at the buffet. But the meat for your hot pot has to be ordered separately. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are outside of the restaurant though. They also have a soft serve machine. I would definitely recommend going here, maybe for Christmas or thanksgiving.

Comment: Shabu is really not my favorite cuisine style, but my wife loves boiling her food. The closest comparison that we have for Spring Shabu is Mo-Mo-Paradise that recently opened 2 locations in Southern California. My wife literally dragged me to Mo-Mo every chance we got during our visits to Taiwan, and now that weve found Spring Shabu in Flushing, I now have boiled food at least once every other week (with increased frequency during the colder months). Unlike most other Shabu places in Flushing, Spring Shabu is run by Koreans, and the standard is much closer to actual high-end Shabu places in Asia (thus the comparison to Mo-Mo). They have an interesting pricing system where each person gets charged for their individual pot of soup and that includes access to the large selection of AYCE veggies and noodles. Meat and seafood costs extra, and be careful of not to order too much, as restraint is usually not shown at the AYCE counters. The usual burner setting we use is 3 out of 5, but if you are inexperienced at Shabu, accidentally left your burner at 5 out of 5, and boil off all your soup, the staff will be happy to add more soup to your pot. They do have 1 beer on tap and refillable fountain drinks. The decor is modern and the staff is usually attentive (weekends in the winter months does get a little crazy). We also love that they have validated parking accessible from 38th Ave., behind/beneath Queens Crossing plaza (where Spring Shabu is located within).

The buffet includes vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, and miscellaneous food items. There are also a great variety of sauce and condiments to go along.

Comment: Always a happy experience and happy tummy coming here. Lots of choices, great price and great food! Happy to bring a lot of friends here.Assortment of soup could have been better, pork bone is one of my favorite but the dashi is not bad either. Slices of meat are a little bit on the pricey side since you only get a few slices per order, other than that, fish cakes, noodles, rice and other shabu shabu stuffs are unlimited.

Comment: Always fresh and reasonably priced. We always come with others in a large group. As a consequence, there is usually a long wait for a large group. But it’s worth it. Lots of selection. You need not to order extras like meat and seafood. The base price already includes plenty of fish based fish balls and other proteins. I also recommend the wide variety of sauces available.

Comment: This place was a hot pot with more Korean style broth. We liked the taste of dashy non spicy and spicy broth and all the vegetables were very fresh. Vegetables was so good that the meat was not even the star of the meal. You can order different type of meat separately so for vegetarians it must be a treat. The space is big and spacious and clean. It get bit crowded during dinner time but we went at 5:30 so had no trouble getting the table. I highly recommend.

Comment: A very good place to have hot pot if you love vegetables. Its a buffet with different prices of lunch and dinner on weekdays and weekends/holidays. Meat/seafood is available with additional price. There are tons of vegetables and other interesting stuff to choose. The soup is good, and it feels healthy.

Comment: My favorite shabu shabu place in flushing! It’s so neat and organized here and I like how fresh the ingredients are. I like that they have dashi broth option and they have a huge variety of ingredients to choose from. I really love the different fish cake options here and they have a big sauce station! I always come here with friends and family for lunch or dinner as they have lots of seating and space. Can’t forget about the matcha soft serve for dessert here 🤤.
