Comment: Came here in a whim after the cross sound ferry the soba with vegetables and the seaweed salad and the shrimp shumai really nice balanced beautiful flavors. Nice to see more authentic Japanese food on the east end.

Comment: Really excellent nigiri and ramen, top tier. The sake flight was a nice intro to the many different flavors of sake.I will have to agree with some other reviews, that I did find one of the staff, to be inhospitable and a bit rude.However, we would come back!

Comment: Wow. What can I say. Maybe the best ramen Ive ever had. The yuzu sake was also incredible. Kimchi ramen was amazing, waitress was lovely. Good green tea selection. I only wish I could go again

Comment: Finally a great Japanese restaurant on the North Fork. Try the pork or duck lettuce wrap for starters then a salmon or sashimi rice bowl with one of their many sake selections. Usually no wait but if there is, it’s worth it.

Comment: Huge variety of sake and shochu by the glass. Must try the Agedashi Tofu with its amazing broth. Ramen is great here, and the fish is extremely fresh. Menu items can be small, and the kitchen can take a while sometimes, but its well worth it. Glad theyre back to using their beautiful dishes and done with the paper plates. Staff is very nice and devoted to the restaurant. Palma and Connor and Paige always take great care of us. The decor is beautiful and so is the gardening for the outdoor seating. I dont recommend the dome seating, as the outside is beautiful here and the indoor is cozy if its cold. They often project nature documentaries or anime onto the wall inside for some added ambiance. I highly recommend going here any time of year.

Our party had gyoza, pork belly lettuce wraps, toro hand rolls, and multiple pieces of sushi / sashimi (no bs rolls) and ramen. It was fresh and delicious. Worth the wait, especially given the circumstances. Great sake options as well. Ramen was to die for...

Comment: A little pricey compared to what Im personally used, to but still excellent! We had to wait about 20 minutes or so because of limited seating. They had outside seating with well-spaced tables. Server sprayed down each table with disinfectant in between customers, wore a mask and properly distanced himself from us while taking our order. Service was friendly, and top notch. They had fully disposable, paper plates and bowls and plastic cutlery to reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Food tasted fresh and delicious, even the wasabi and ginger that came with our sushi and sashimi dishes! I would definitely recommend this place.

Comment: Great looking spot away from the busy touristy areas of town. The duck ramen was good although a bit pricey. Not the best I ever had, could use a bit more flavor. Sushi was good although a bit slow to arrive (one sushi chef on Sunday night). Service was friendly. Nice vibes inside with good lighting and music. Sake and beer available. I do not believe they serve mixed drinks though. Probably the most authentic Japanese spot on the North Fork. I would return.

Comment: Its just great. Every time I go its just so great. Alongside the excellent food, the sake is truly one of the best aspects of this place. As someone who didnt know much, the menu can seem daunting, but everyone working there is really well versed in it all. Totally worth taking the time to find one you might like.

As much as we LOVED the food, we will stick to Sakura a few blocks away because their prices better fit our pocketbook and the portions are much bigger. Stirling Seaweed salad $14 Sakura seaweed salad$6.00 Stirling fried tofu soup: (2 small delicious pieces of tofu with a bit of broth on the bottom) $14.00 Sakura seafood soup: $6.00 large bowl chock full of seafood.
