Comment: We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner on Christmas Eve and came across Sumou. The rolls tasted fresh and were great quality.Inside was nicely dim and theres two dining areas, one for hibachi which we will be back for!Service was excellent, yelp check-ins even got me a free glass of house wine! The rolls were beautifully made, and came out super fast.Pricing was perfect for a sushi restaurant, $8-$18 a roll and the appetizers were in the same range.

Comment: Unarguably the best sushi and hibachi in the area. My boyfriend and I regularly eat from here, both dine-in and take-out. The sushi is phenomenal! I love when sushi places give you TWO shrimp in the shrimp tempura rolls - they do not skimp out! So generous with sushi fillings and everything tastes so fresh and delicious. The dine-in service is super attentive and quick, very polite waiting staff. The interior is beautiful, as well. Great spot for a date night or for some hibachi fun with the family! Highly recommended.

Didn’t know what to expect as we were walking up to the place, but we were very happy once we were seated... friendly and attentive staff.. nice entertainment from the chefs and excellent food... soft shell crabs appetizer was delicious, shrimp tempura was light and crispy, scallops and shrimp were cooked to perfection as were the vegetables and steak and chicken ( we tried several different meals). So if ur looking for a nice quiet hibachi style meal give Sumou a try, you won’t be disappointed!! Enjoy!!

In fact I compare every sushi place I go to against Sumos.The garlic oysters are a must, there tuna is always fresh they are very creative w/ their rolls so dont be afraid to try something new or one of the specials.They also offer a very good hibachi, so if there is a weirdo in your party that doesnt dig sushi they can still order something great.

Ive been to pretty much every sushi spot in and around the area and believe me when I tell you that this quaint,dark and unassuming locale is by far the best. In my opinion, their rolls are the freshest and tastiest around and, if you feel like hibachi the other half of the restaurant is your new spot. Great deals and awesome French martinis makes this by far my favourite spot for Japanese. Try it, youll love it too.

Comment: Hibachi grill was very entertaining. The servers are polite and the chef was very engaging. The food was also good and sushi was delicious. The only bad thing was the was the wait. We were the only people in the restaurant in the morning but it still took awhile.

Comment: My family and I just ordered sushi to go. We loved it.. fast service and the woman at the counter seemed pleasant. I would def. order from here again. I dont sit inside because my son is 5 and people go to restaurants to get away from kids..(LOL)Tokyo Roll was awesome, Duck roll my husband loved.. said it was like a great piece of chicken.. and the Dragon roll is my favorite!!

Comment: This restaurant has great sushi. Great staff and service. The downside is bugs, had a big spider making its way down from the ceiling down to our table. The proprietors should not overlook this issue, makes you wonder how clean the restaurant is.

Comment: This is my and my familys go to restaurant for sushi. The service is fast and mostly friendly. (not that anyone has ever been rude...some waitresses just seem to lack a personality) The decor is pleasant and chic. The sushi is fresh and tasty with a great selection of standard and special rolls. Order up your sushi of choice and wash it down with a Bonzai, a sake and plum wine blend.They also have a great lunch special where you get 2 sushi rolls, a fresh salad with ginger dressing and a miso soup for $8 and change. Excellent deal!Ive been over to the hibachi grill side and the food was overall very good, the filet mignon was quite tasty and super tender, melt in your mouth excellence!If youre looking for the best sushi youve ever eaten in your life?...this probably isnt the place for you...but if youre looking for very good sushi, quick service in a nice place at a cost that wont make you feel like youve ben mugged then head over to Sumou.

Comment: Never had the hibachi here but go for sushi all the time. Great selection of special rolls and sushi appetizer dishes. Ive found the sushi always to be fresh. Very reasonably priced in comparison to everywhere else in the area. Dining area is spaciously comfortable and nicely decorated and the staff are superb. Everyone Ive ever brought here says they feel at home. Been to all the sushi places in the area and sumo is still the favorite.
