Comment: This is one of my favorite sushi places in Queens! it’s a small, cozy restaurant and does have a little parking lot. pricing for rolls and sashimi have gone up from the last few years I’ve been going, but the quality is always so fresh and amazing! also love the lychee Thai iced tea and they do have dessert offerings, bento boxes, and other hot and cold appetizers as well.

Comment: Ive been ordering from here for a few years now. The food is always great with the portions just right. However, if you plan on ordering for take out then make sure to order well ahead of time. Theyve been taking a while to prepare the orders and the manager had apologized last time I went for the delay. She said they lacked manpower to get all the orders ready on time. No complaints from me as long as the food is good.

Weve all tried everybodys dishes there was six of us it was so good! The sushi was amazingly fresh and there were many different options to choose from it might be kind of hard to figure out what it is you want but you will definitely find something that you will like! So dont judge a book by its cover cuz this story inside and this little place has some great food in it! And they also serve drinks which is always a plus

Even the typical sushi fare are great. We are not that thrilled about their noodles but its a Sushi joint. Got the 3 rolls lunch special for $13 after tax, the eel avocado rolls looked very skimped mostly avocado and a small portion of eel. Not generous with the eel. Overall, good spot. The floors of the place has always bothered me, it’s super greasy/ oily, your shoes can slide on the tiles i don’t know what it is about it. There were indoor dining options as well, only two tables were being used and they were very spaced out. They have a table blocking the entrance to prevent customers from coming further in. I like that they provided the takeout menus right there at the counter too.

I had two yellowfin jalepeño sushi pieces and a pork tonkatsu ramen bowl. The yellowfin was initially ordered as a single but because it was so good, I got a 2nd. The ramen was excellent. Broth was perfect consistency, not overly salty. 3 fish cakes and a healthy serving of pork (decent cuts) too all for $16 before tax. What a steal. Would return!

Comment: This is one of my favorite places to go to. They have good food at an affordable price. My favorite menu items are the fried calamari roll, shrimp fried rice, and fried Oreos (which is served with ice cream). Their shrimp fried rice is unique because it has a sweetness from the onions, that they allowed to cook off a little and sweat. You can really tell that they let all the ingredients cook together in their fried rice and it smells amazing when it comes out.Before having sushi island I didnt like fried Oreos because they were too sweet and greasy. Sushi Island fried Oreos converted me because they fry them in a light coating of tempura batter to the point were the oreo just gets soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Sushi island understands that the oreo is sweet on its own and doesnt need added sugar or batter. Best fried Oreos by far.

Comment: I step foot into this establishment about 7 years ago fell in love with it immediately its a hole-in-the-wall spot which is usually great there are spaces very limited so bringing a group of people is not a good idea but having a romantic night between the two or friends hanging out just wanted to eat some great sushi definitely you have to try the deep-fried cheesecake with the green tea ice cream absolute favorite and definitely get the volcano its so good and feeling the workers there seem to be working off more tips than anything so tip good and theyll treat you great

Comment: I get take out or dine in all the time. The last and present delivery guy isnt too friendly but F that. They are not making my food and I continuously tip them well. I have tried many things on the menu and I have only been disappointed by the duck salad and mussels. The past year has given extra burnt pieces of duck with smaller portions and increased prices. The mussels arent fresh. I havent tried the Teriyaki, Udon or dessert dishes because I am uninterested. Years ago Sake Suhi used to be my go to spot but they fell off...badly. I am happy to have a new spot in the vicinity that keeps me satisfied. I hope their customer base grows so they never leave. This place takes cash and credit. I have tried all the sake and I am unimpressed. They do NOT serve hot sake. If you are looking for a drink with sushi just order to-go and buy a bottle of wine on your way home. The sushi bar itself is tight space and its better to get a table. There are about 10 tables here, mostly 4-seaters. I have ordered for catering. It wasnt delivered on time, but the order was accurate an delicious. All in all, I do recommend this place!

Comment: The first thing that hits you is how efficient the layout is. There is room for about 50 diners and yet there is more than enough room to sit comfortably. The menu is very robust and theres a lot of room for customization and all tastes. The staff is kind and patient, as well as very attentive to the patrons. It is a clean restaurant and the sushi is prepared right in front of you, so no tricks or mystery. The only downside is that it is not wheelchair accessible.

Comment: Love this place its small but the food is great. Fast service as well. Great customer service. Very clean. They can get a bit busy on the weekends but the best thing is that they do have parking. A small parking lot but nevertheless its parking and its free. No meter to worry about.

Comment: Our go to for fast delicious takeout sushi made to order. I appreciate the option for brown rice and extra crunches. The waitstaff always remember me and are super nice and friendly. Even when its a long time between visits. They are open late so on our way home from catering gigs when we are hungry and havent eaten on the job this is often our go to choice.

Comment: This is my favorite place when my craving for sushi kicks in! Pricing is good and their chicken over rice is great as well. They have dedicated parking so its very convenient if youre driving. They play music in the background, which sometimes tends to bee a little over the top. However, if youre spending time with friends you might barely notice!

Comment: There was a man dressed in a KKK hood sitting on a table near ours. It was hilarious. Other than that I highly recommend this the chicken tempura felt like Jesus Christs semen splashing on my tender lips. BTW if you really want to enjoy yourself get the snow crab. My friend ordered it last time we went and I could tell from the look in his eyes he had finally found god.

Comment: Solid second tier sushi, friendly staff and modern decor. Price very competitive to surrounding places but the food is better. Sushi are a bit on the small side, but its expected for fresh fish at these prices.Try the island fried rice, its basically thai fried rice and they make it REALLY well.I wouldnt go out of my way to come here, but its a good value and good food.
