Comment: Hidden gem cute place very clean my first time there and it was a great experience i got my food fast the waitress and staff were all super sweet i got the pork fried gyoza and the cooked shrimp tempura sushi with crab it was so amazing i will definitely be returning the crispy rice wit tuna I brought home to my husband he said that it was phenomenal im excited that i found a new spot and prices are very fair !! Comment: I had the rainbow roll and the green dragon roll with black rice. Absolutely delicious 😋. My only complaint is it takes a long time for them to make. I understand they do everything fresh and I appreciate that but if its a way for them to be a tad faster that would be great. 1 hour wait kind of ridiculous and thats why I took 1 star off.I would order again. Comment: I absolutely love Sushi Ko. Since my oldest started college at Hofstra University last year we have been here to eat multiple times. Everytime everything is always fresh and delicious. The staff are always kind and very attentive. The roll selection is amazing they have a diverse variety that will please anyones pallet. We always try to get different rolls with each visit so we can eventually try them all and so far there has not been any rolls that we didnt like. Our favorite however is the tricolor sushi pieces with the black rice, yes I said black rice! It has a slightly nutty flavor to me but oh so delicious and its healthier for you then white rice. You can get the black rice in your rolls as well but I think its better suited for Nigiri. Its the only place Ive ever know that offers black rice. No matter what you get off the menu here you will not be disappointed its a great sushi place.

Comment: One of the best Japanese restaurant I know. Been going there for about 5 years since discovering it. The place is clean. The atmosphere is calming. The staff are nice. Met the owner once and hes quite friendly and approachable. The food is great and tasty. Love my sushi in black rice, which is rich in antioxidant. Havent been disappointed so far. Kudos to Sushi Ko. Arigato gozaimasu.

They have a nice selection of vegetarian sushi for me and regular sushi for everyone else in my family. Also their ginger dressing and seaweed salad is delicious. Comment: Ive been coming here for years. I frequent establishments in Manhattan including Sushi Yasuda, Sushi of Gari, Sushi Dojo, Kanoyama and more. The quality of the fish and service are on par to these high end establishments and far superior than any Sushi restaurant in Long Island. This is a hole in the wall and gem. James, the owner has put 200% TLC into this place. Food came quickly. Fish was excellent, and apparently all flown in from Japan. Its the only place on Long Island with Omakase that Im aware of. I wont dine for Sushi anywhere else. Thanks as always!

Comment: My boyfriend and I have been to Sushi Ko three times and we absolutely love it! Weve even brought our kids, who are tougher critics than we are! And they love it as well. My nine year old tried everything we were eating and based on presentation alone, she wasnt turned off by anything. James, the owner, is always available to make suggestions and make sure our experience is the best it can be. He even emails us when the fish we want is available, like the live sea scallops! We havent tried one thing that we dont like yet. And my boyfriend who is a chef absolutely raves about the food. He says this is the best sushi hes ever had between here and Cali! The fish is always super fresh and if James isnt sure of the freshness he definitely wont serve it.
