Comment: Undeniably The Most Authentic Japanese Menu in the capital region.Service is stellar, staff are beyond kind and attentive.Atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable.Food presentation is neat and homey, I love their dishware and nice waxed disposable chopsticks that break correctly.Topping it off, its reasonably priced for amazingly fresh and perfectly stored fish for sushi, sashimi, etc.Went back twice in the same week, I think I could eat anything off their menu and give it 5 stars.-Try the Okonomiyaki, I cant say anywhere else nearby serves it at all.

Comment: The supremely nice owner welcomed us to his restaurant and thanked us for coming. He then gave us a grand tour of the menu, explaining each category of item and how everything worked. He truly set the tone for a beautiful evening. We ordered salmon sushi, tuna sushi, and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi was delicious and silky smooth. The roll was fantastic. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, with lighting and decor making the restaurant suitable for a casual bite or a nice date spot. We will return both for the food and the owner!

Comment: Such a nice restaurant, we (2 people) stopped in after picking some things up at target and Michael’s which is on the complex across the street, we saw this place and thought why not. The man working there was so nice and hard working. He explained how the menu system worked and let us know what some of the items were so we were educated on what we were ordering before doing so. He literally was running from table to table both inside and out. We ordered our food, chicken teriyaki, the new California roll, and a spicy crab roll. Everything was amazing and that statement is probably underselling it. The sushi was fresh, and the chicken teriyaki had a great flavor. I’m usually someone who either loves or hates the miso soup restaurants offer, this restaurant’s miso soup had great flavor and I really enjoyed it.We placed a to go order after we finished, they had run out of sushi rice because of how busy they had gotten but that wasn’t a problem at all because there are a million things to choose from. The man also felt so badly that they had ran out of that type of rice and kept apologizing so you can really see the employees care about the customers and are so friendly plus they really hustle around. I have never left a review before but I felt like this place deserved 5 stars. Definitely will return! Only comment I would make for someone who is thinking about coming here is that the prices are more than at other restaurants, the average roll was $8 and I believe my chicken dish was $22 however the quality of food, speed, flavor, and customer service you will not find anywhere else and makes it totally worth it!

I went here with my friends and ordered $100 worth of sushi, wanting to try a wide variety. We also ordered edamame and a bento box. We received a large colorful assortment of sushi, beautifully displayed. The bento box was packed with tempura, sushi, rice, beef, and came with soup and salad.The sushi was exceptional, very fresh. Hands down the freshest sushi in the region. I did not taste one piece of sushi that I didnt like (and I tried almost everything). Everything in the bento box was delicious as well. Portions were good and price was fair.I highly recommend the Na-Ra experience.

Comment: I recently ventured into Sushi Nara on the advice of a friend. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which I found detracts from the fine decor awaiting inside the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by two greeters and the sushi chef. The chef was preparing food behind a glass enclosure that allowed anyone sitting at the counter to witness the wonderful menu creations firsthand. Upon sitting I was quickly attended to, and in a matter of moments my order was taken.As I waited for my food, I enjoyed Miso Soup and a salad before receiving my food. The presentation of food was clean and complete. I ordered the Tropicana and the Dragon rolls which featured spicy salmon. The salmon and the avocado was fresh. Despite a hearty appetite, I was unable to finish the nicely portioned rolls.I recommend Sushi Nara to anyone looking for great food at reasonable prices. Dont let the strip mall location keep you from enjoying first class sushi.

Comment: I had a wonderful experience here. My boyfriend and I came and we were greeted very warmly and invited to sit wherever we wanted. I was having a bad day but the pleasantness of the staff was just so overwhelmingly refreshing that I couldnt help but smile. We ordered the kimchi pancake and two sushi rolls. The pancake was nice and hot and crisp. The only complaint I would have was that I wish there were more kimchi in it, but it was still delicious and warmed the soul. My boyfriend had the crazy Kevin roll and he enjoyed it thoroughly as he is a spicy fanatic and it was spicy enough for him. I had a spicy salmon roll and it was definitely spicy. The rolls were delicious. One thing to note though, Im used to spicy sushi rolls consisting of chopped up seasoned raw salmon. It was a surprise to see that at sushi nara the salmon was served like a regular salmon roll and just had spicy sauce on top - just something to be aware of. We each had a bowl of miso soup, which was yummy as well. Definwill be coming back here. Such a great small restaurant.

Comment: Best traditional sushi! They make fancy rolls also, but if you are a purist like me, favoring simple nigiri, the lady sushi chefs will artfully craft perfectly- sized, delectable morsels. The fish is always fresh and the sushi rice is prepared just right. If you appreciate quality, not quantity, this is the restaurant. Many of the others are merely mediocre with too many neon lights and mismatched interior textures. The decor at Sushi Na-ra is uncomplicated, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. I love this place!
