Comment: I love this place. I’ve gotten take out here every few weeks for many, many years, and every time it’s wonderful. The people working there, especially the woman who has run the counter and I think has managed the place for all the years it’s been open, are fabulous. Times when I get sushi it’s always good, fresh, nice, basically as it should be. Lots of rolls, all of them tight and clean (I like the California roll because I’m basic and I seriously love imitation crab, no joke). But mostly I like “kitchen food,” like the gyoza, the rock shrimp tempura (just those two with white rice is enough for me). The black bean salmon is really good too. I’m so glad they’re still here in DF.

Comment: Food was delicious and the dishes look very nicely set up as well. Miso soup was so good. The gyoza were so full of flavor. Spicy tuna sushi was amazing and exactly how I liked it. Look forward to returning again!

Comment: I rely on reviews when trying a new restaurant so I was really expecting a nearly 5-star experience given average ratings were 4.7. But in reality the sushi and service were really quite average so my 4-rating is being generous. I eat sushi often and know the difference between ok (3) and amazing (5) and my intent is simply to be honest for the next person. Price was in line with what you get. The fish was fresh but the wasabi was unnaturally green. Service was fast but there was only one other guest there at lunch when I arrived. I found parking just down the block.

Comment: Amazing food. I tried the house salad with Calamari, and shrimp fried rice and the beef fried rice and I was amazed on how delicious the food was. I was so Amazed that two days later I had to place another order and this place is highly recommended. Better than Sushi Mikes, sorry guys. They have odd hours but the food always pays off. If you are in the area, give this place a try first and trust me you will not regret it. Yummy.

Comment: Sushi Niji is a dark house in Dobbs Ferry. While it’s branded as a Japanese Sushi place they have some excellent other Japanese dishes such as their Pork Katsu and selections of DonburiHighly recommend trying something new here!
