Comment: Customers since it opened in Clifton Park. Typically go here a couple of times a year and have not ever been disappointed though you do have to realize if you are getting AYCE that you probably arent getting the finest sushi. This is a tradeoff people fail to understand and that failure defies logic. Service is good and the food is a good value. The sashimi is usually on par with most non all you can eat establishments for a few dollars more. Nice sized pieces and for our visits fresh. Mixed drinks are generally good but we usually get sake. We dont order a lot of rolls but they offer a few that we like. If you order carefully you generally will leave happy.

Comment: I used DoorDash to order a 3 roll lunch special and gyoza from Prime 88. I am a sucker for a lunch special, and picked the spicy tuna, Philadelphia, and eel avocado for my three rolls. In my opinion, these three rolls can tell a lot from a restaurant; how spicy are the spicy rolls? how do their salmon cuts mend with the cream cheese? how fresh is the avocado? how slimy/not slimy is the eel? The spicy tuna roll was a little underwhelming in spice, but that allows it to be enjoyed by anyone who wants to dip their toes into the spicy side of sushi. The Philadelphia roll was creamy, and the salmon had a bite that made it mend nicely. The eel avocado was my absolute favorite, and honestly it might have been my favorite roll ever. The lunch special also came with miso soup. Unfortunately, the miso soup is why my rating did not make it to 5 stars; it was mostly broth with maybe 4 pieces of seaweed and a couple bits of tofu here and there. After reading reviews, I have learned that there is an all you can eat option here. I am definitely looking forward to coming in and experiencing more of the menu that way!

Comment: The all you can eat is $29.99 for adult dinner and kids 12 and older, 8 year old $14.99, 5 year old $9.99. The service was excellent, everything looked clean. The sushi was just ok, not the best we had, but we were ok with it. Ordering was a breeze. Probably more worth it to come for lunch next time. The ice cream was good and included. You will get charged mandatory 18% gratuity.

Comment: Excellent service and fresh food. Can go over for a more formal dinner or a nice lunch with friends & family. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are gluten free this is the place for you as staff are extremely cautious about what they are cooking and serving you. Definitely will be back, thanks for a nice lunch ☺️

Comment: Loved this restaurant. Food was delicious, servers were amazing, atmosphere was fantastic. We got some dessert as well with the all you can eat sushi. If I lived here, definitely would visit often. Some of our party did complain that their drinks weren’t super cold, but the servers were able to bring them a drink that was more to their liking. Overall I loved it and would recommend it.

They offer both regular dine in service as well as an all you can eat option. The all you can eat option is reasonably priced compared to the other sushi places in the capital region, a pretty good variety of items you can order, both sushi/sashimi and not. The staff was very attentive and nice as well.

Comment: Food is very good. If you get soy paper $1.00 upcharge ask for it to be on the outside. Lunch they have an all you can eat sushi or grill for $15.00. dinner all you can eat sushi and grill is $25.00 well with the price and good food. You can order both grill and sushi, you can only get 2 orders in and dont over order or you get charged a waste fee. Order what you can eat, at the end you get ice cream. They do charge you an 18% gratuity automatically it does state on the menu and on the bill about it.

Comment: Great sushi, great atmosphere, highly recommend. We went on Sunday so the price was higher but they have more selection than the weekday lunch. We started with appetizers and then got the sushi. We ordered a lot so it was served on a bridge. Depth Bomb was the tables favorite.Just a couple things to know before going. Youre charged for any sushi you cant eat if you order too much. Just order a few at a time and youll be good. They have no problem with you making multiple orders. The other thing is theres an 18 percent tip automatically applied to your bill. I have no problem with this as the service was excellent.If those two things arent a problem for you then I think this place is worth checking out.

Comment: Wow Sushi Prime 88 was amazing. We were super impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and the selection of food available! When you first walk in, it’s beautiful and clean. When it’s time to order your food they bring two sheets over, one with kitchen items and another for sushi. We brought our 6 year old with us so he got various kitchen items instead of sushi. All of the food was delicious and fresh! For the three of us it was around $70 on a Sunday but it’s an all you can eat place that cooks everything fresh for you. We will definitely be back (probably by the end of the week honestly!)Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Comment: Id say this is my favorite of the new crop of restaurant style all-you-can-eat sushi places, mainly due to the appetizer and hot food selection. They do have less sushi to choose from, but still all of the fundamentals and plenty of special ones. A big plus for me was the food that wasnt sushi, such as the steak teriyaki, which means you can take someone here who hasnt tried sushi before with little worries of sushi not being their thing. Only knocked off a star because of one thing (which seems to be an industry standard.) The menu does say that 18% tip is included, however it is easy to miss if youre not looking for it, and when the credit card slip comes out with a tip line, there is noting to indicate that you have already tipped. I left an extra tip because I felt the service deserved it but I can easily imagine unwary people leaving what amounts to a 40% tip because they dont want to seem cheap. Im a server myself, and while I am definitely pro tip, I dont want to be tipped an exorbitant amount unless I really earned it.

Comment: The sushi buffet is worth it. They even have a good selection of sashimi in the buffet menu which is a major plus. The mushroom soup is even great!The service was wonderful, they do in include 18% gratuity for the buffet which is fine for me (they do wait on you a lot with the menus and trays) when you get the bill you know what youre going to pay. I went on weekday without a drink the total including tax and tip was $28.74.
