Comment: Went to this already highly rated sushi spot in Queens. Its more of a take out than a sit in place, but dont let that stop youfrom going. The sushi was freshly made and very tasty. The service is friendly. The restaurant has a diamond in the rough feel to it. My daughter and I both had 3 servings each and were surprised by how full we got. The sushi had the perfect balance of rice and fish.

I have to say even with high expectations it exceeded them for a hole in the wall sushi spot! The pieces were huge and fish was all very fresh. The staff is also so kind and welcoming. The service is great; they often remember regulars, and when the occasional mistake (which is rare) is made, they quickly try to fix or make up for it. They also dont charge a delivery fee, which is often more accessible than dealing with a delivery app, and in my case the money spent on the app would go directly to the delivery person instead.

While walking up and down Austin Street during the latest street fair we just could not decide on what to eat..there were so many food vendors..but nothing really excited us. Until my twin 10 year old daughters both said we want sushi!!! Sushi for them is california rolls and spicy tuna rolls..so we went right to Sushi Time! Everything was prepared fresh for us right there and then and my wife and I added a few other types of rolls and a garden salad with the ginger dressing. Everything was great!! We loved it!!!

Comment: Sushi Times online presence is a mess, so I decided to order takeout. A sushi combo box and gyoza. I got my food after a 10 minute wait.They packed the sushi nicely and there were plenty of napkins and soy sauce packets in the bag. They forgot the spoon for the miso soup that came with the combo box.The sushi was great and went well with the spicy mayo I ordered. The portions were small, however. In fact, each individual piece of maki, nigiri, and sashimi was smaller than they are everywhere else.The side salad came with sauce (ginger I think) and was probably the best plain salad Ive had at a sushi place, but its hard to get excited about a plain salad side. The option to get a side of rice or something else instead would have been nice.The gyoza was good, but it was slightly bland.The containers they use are made of cheap, non-microwave-safe plastic (#6), although youre not likely to have leftovers.Not a bad choice, but you can probably find better places nearby, especially if youre not dining in.

I normally order sashimi deluxe, while my hubby love the shrimp tempura roll. They also provide a premise roll so it’s easy for grab and go, but I prefer to order things fresh because the roll taste very fresh especially the rice is not hard. Feel like having some soup, I also ever tried their Veg Udon - great taste, good for vegetarian as well!!!

I was happy with the pricing considering it is Forest Hills neighborhood. Parking is really tough near the joint, other wise this would be 5 star take out place. Their take out rolls tasted fresh but had scallions in them that after sitting out for a while, make the spice tuna have an oniony taste.But I decided to give them a try and dine inTheir sushi is amazing, fresh, melt in your mouth good.My boyfriend and I ordered six rolls. 2 spicy tuna, 1 spicy tuna with mango, 1 eel avocado... and the rest I cant remember. Freshly made Spicy Tuna is knock your socks off good. The rolls also came out in lightening speed, I was so surprised how fast they made them. I also wanted to point out that their version of crunchy being added to their rolls, is something with a crunch like consistency being added to the rice on the outside of the roll.The food was SO good that I am sad it took me so long to eat it.... If the owner is reading this, I suggest that maybe you take the scallions out of the rolls that are being placed for take out so they dont get an oniony taste!

Comment: Best sushi spot to get sushi and/or sashimi on Austin Street, dare I say Forest Hills. The restaurant is very cozy (i.e. not very good for big groups as they only have a few tables for seating). They are efficient and get your food to you right away but never rush you out the door. The prices are reasonable compared to the other sushi restaurants nearby. Personally I would recommend the Tropical Roll.

Comment: The two women behind the counter are always smiling and always very helpful. If you are sitting in to eat, the service is fairly quick depending on the time you are there. If you are picking up a meal to-go during rush dinner hours then you can expect to wait 15-20 minutes.Prices are fair. Quality is great in my opinion. Always enjoy our food and rolls when we order from there.Beware: We do not order any fish/raw rolls. Always the veggie or fruit rolls and they are always good!
