Comment: I’ve only ordered food to-go from Sushi Yashin and I ordered it 4 days in a row, so I hope that sums up my review for the most part.The Spicy Girl roll is tasty and delicious with fresh tuna and jalapeno for a kick. The Apollo roll is tempura shrimp with some sort of mayo on top. The Rainbow roll has different fish on top like tuna, salmon, and yellowtail—if you’re looking for one roll with variety, this is the one I’d recommend.As for the normal rolls, can’t go wrong with a basic California roll.We will definitely be back and hopefully for dine-in so we can try it at its freshest!

Comment: Sweet atmosphere, calm, a nice place to visit! Friendly service, VERY fresh and flavorful fish, especially the yellowtail and tuna. Served beautifully- they put wasabi into the rolls/nigiri directly, so you do have to request that it be on the side if that’s not your thing.

The theme and elegance is maintained throughout this traditional Japanese style restaurant, and its easy to find yourself in Tokyo instead of NYC when sitting in this place. I normally do not like tuna sashimi in the states, but this was the first time it was tasty.I thought of not writing the review because I don’t want this place to get popular and it would be hard for us to get the reservation…. But I had to share this.What amazed me more was that with the sweet shrimp (ama-ebi), they put the fried shrimp head next to it. It’s very Japanese thing. They had it deep fried in perfection and we enjoyed it very much.Another great point was that they have Natto shushi that my son loves.And my daughter finished the miso-ramen too. She actually never finished the whole ramen bowl before, but she did.This place is going to be our go-to place!Staff and chef was very nice too!

Comment: I love the food at here, it’s a quiet small casual spot, the sushi is always great but on my last visit, my experience was marred by seeing the inflated percentages on the ‘suggested gratuities’ part of the bill.I know restaurants are struggling right now, I eat out regularly to support them and always tip fairly but doing a quick calculation, I noticed that the suggested tip amounts were higher than the percentages they claimed to be. For the majority of people who do not check their bills, they would not realise and just pay it.I’m still giving 4* because I love the food here but I used to work in the restaurant industry myself and it was disappointing to see you do this. I hope you understand that deceiving customers is wrong and moving forward will correct this for future customers ahead.

Comment: This is my favorite sushi place in Brooklyn, I‘ve been here so many times and they never let me down. I always order Omakase, it’s a little more pricey than other items on the menu, but trust me, same quality of Omakase will be twice the price in Manhattan. Most of the fish are shipped from Japan, and so fresh and tasty. My favorite pieces are always Toro and Uni(I got too excited seeing them and forgot about taking pictures lol)

We live in the neighborhood and go usually to Japan for the regular Japan night or to Katsuhi for the extravagant special Japan night.Yashin seems to be a little bit higher quality than Japan. For us it is as worth it even when some of the dishes were slightly more expensive. Sashimi was excellent and very fresh and decent quality for that price. Ill give it a 4,7. We loved everything from their Sake to their special rolls and Sashimi.

The amaebi tempura is one of the most crunchy delicious tempura I had for awhile, sashimi deluxe is fresh with various fishes to chomp into and I love the yellow tail roll but it will be much better if it has some scallions in it.

Blown away by the Haikkido Uni (ordered twice, so nice). Even the basics like medium fatty toro and salmon sashimi incredibly delicate. Have learned that the best sushi/sashimi is about the quality of ingredients AND how the chefs knife skills for texture and flavor. Hard to find a place that does better at these prices. Go for adventure. Kid friendly, too.

Comment: Sweet little hidden gem run by a couple who take the utmost care in maintaining a high quality product. Their omakase is affordable but still memorable. Try that and the grilled fish collar (rotated daily).

Comment: Best sushi in Brooklyn! They really live up to their mission of high quality fish at affordable prices! They also do omakase (not on the menu), but I highly recommend it. I have yet to eat anything here that I didnt like! Come check it out!!

Comment: This is a great restaurant. Its the best moderately priced sushi place in park slope and the owners are incredibly friendly. Make sure you check out the printed specials page. It lists the fresh stuff from Japan and all over.

Comment: I had dinner with my friend on weekend. We had ordered sashimi for 2. The fish so fresh and they had special menu also.we have tried the Japanese pepper n shrimp shumai.all the food that we ordered so good. I will come back again.

Comment: I came here because my friends high recommend,and I didnt disappointed,they just open 10 months,but they have so many regular customs,amazing fresh fish,which is they order everyday,and very friendly staff,nice service,and very good price,the sitting place is nice,located Conner place,nice sushi restaurant fell like went to Japan,and chef they know what they want do,best sushi restaurant in park slope,and they already got liquor license,I highly recommend,we will definitely come back.

Comment: Sorry to sound a bit racist, but when you spot your Japanese neighbor eating at a Japanese restaurant, youre going to want to try it right? Right! And Im glad I did. This restaurant replaced Corner Burger (which is still on Google Maps in case anyone is wondering) and its a welcome addition to the plethora of Sushi restaurants in the neighborhood. Fresh and reasonably priced, this dainty spot offers traditional fair and a ~$40-50 omakase (which Ill try next time). Service is attentive and I love the wall outlets that allow patrons to charge their devices.

Comment: Great, fresh food. Sat at bar for lunch and chef was great to talk with. We learned he modifies the soy sauce to an old Japanese recipe.
