Comment: Some of the best Ramen I’ve had in Manhattan, out of a modest sample, and probably my favorite ramen I’ve had in my life. Ordered it at home this time, but staff was lovely last time we ate in the restaurant. Take out experience was excellent with perfect packaging so that ramen wasn’t too soggy and broth was perfect temperature.

Comment: I may have found my go-to ramen spot on the upper east side. Yes, you can find good ramen in several places in the neighborhood but those are usually small, cramped or offer only bar stool seating. Tabata has both good food and a spacious, aesthetically pleasing interior. The karaage appetizer was excellent. With a cup of steamed rice, it could easily suffice as a light lunch. The tonkotsu ramen was superb. I will definitely be back.

Comment: Randomly found this place on a Friday night. We tried almost all the happy hour appetizers. All of them were delicious and served hot! Definitely recommend the agatashi tofu, fried chicken, and shitaki mushrooms. We also ordered 2 ramen ( super flavorful) and Katasu curry - all really good. Service was great too - very attentive.

Comment: Great ramen spot!This place has some super tasty and well made food for pretty reasonable prices. We’ll definitely return.- Tan Tan Men was extremely good, 5/5 easily! Very good broth flavor. Toppings and noodles had great portions. I’d say this this the thing to get your first time here 100%.- Teriyaki set was also good, solid 4/5. Well rounded dinner plate.- The waiter was very attentive and provided phenomenal advise on what to get based on preferences shared.

Comment: This was a fortunate find on a rainy evening. Ordered the sutamina w pork belly, came out steaming hot and delicious. The broth is delectable, not overly spicy and absolutely no need or want for anything to enhance the ramen w condiments or extras. The service was great, incredibly attentive and helpful in selecting a nice sake. Very pleased I stumbled across this spot.

Pretty quiet and quaint dinner spot. Would come for lunch too to try everything else!The service was great too. Our servers were so kind and accommodating. They also had great recommendations.

Comment: Everything was so delicious! we came in around 5 and ordered pretty much everything off the happy hour menu - all was so tasty for such a good value. we also ordered various skewers like mackerel, salmon and zucchini which were perfectly cooked. the service was excellent, and this all around felt like a great spot for a shared meal in UES.

They also didn’t bring out the ramen together, had to wait over 5 minutes for the 2nd bowl which was just rude.Food was surprisingly good, tried the shrimp tempura, cold sesame ramen, and the spicy miso ramen.Shrimp tempura 5/5: delicious, massive shrimp, was fried to order, and comes with a dashi for dipping.Cold sesame noodles 4/5: surprisingly refreshing and delicious. The pickled ginger worked well with the fresh cucumber, spiced chicken, and bamboo.Spicy miso ramen 4/5: pretty good miso ramen. Nothing particularly amazing, but nothing that was bad either. Chashu was very good, but only two pieces.

Comment: I have been to that place twice. I must say that, I’m very impressed by their ramen as it is very fresh and tasty 😋. The server is very polite and helpful. As for the atmosphere, it is great and the place is spotless. I loved my ramen, definitely 10/10. Can’t wait to try order things in their menu. I would recommend this place for lunch and dinner. 😊

Comment: I love their teishoku (set menu)!! I’ve tried three different ones, pork katsu, grilled fish, and teriyaki chicken, all of them come with good amount of veggies. It’s delicious and authentic (I am Japanese from Japan so believe me!)The owner used to have a Japanese restaurant called Nippori in Midtown West and I loved it there!
