Comment: My boyfriend and I come here all the time. Although its not big, it is very nice and clean with plenty of tables to dine in. The food is always great and fairly priced. The service is amazing. Everyone who works there is very kind. I truly recommend this place if you are in the area or an Adelphi student. As for rolls, the Adelphi roll, Redhead roll and 100A roll are delicious. Plenty of parking spots as well and the area is nice for a walk around.

Comment: They are one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to!! We dined inside and the vibe was really cozy and peaceful. They have plenty of outdoor dining space and there’s a huge parking lot in the back.We ordered hibachi steak, chicken ramen, 100A roll, and Adelphi roll.Hibachi steak and ramen were alright, not too bad and nothing extraordinary. Ramen just felt like regular noodles to me. Sushi on the other hand was the best!! Totally loved it! I would definitely love to try the other rolls on their menu.Staff was super friendly and the service was quick. Their prices are also reasonable according to the portions. I’ll definitely recommend this place for sushi.

I have traveled endlessly and never had such great sushi. Salmon tataki and salmon pizza a must order. Small intimate restaurant. If I could I would give them a 10 star. Comment: After my initial visit i found myself returning quite frequently. The food and service is delightful and the manager is so kind and friendly. I took my girlfriend here to fulfill her sushi craving and she loved it. We loved the Plum wine and Japanese soda’s. Our waiter was so helpful when in choosing our entrees and gave excellent suggestions (duck fried rice & 100A roll) I strongly encourage visiting, you will love the food, service and experience.

Comment: I discovered Taku this afternoon ( it was recommended by a volunteer working at Garden City Library ), after a long, busy weekend, and what a surprisingly pleasant discovery it was ! I know of no small restaurant this cozy, well designed, immaculate and attractive ; the owners have made the most of a long, narrow interior . Country music also provided a relaxing change from the blaring contemporary pop chosen by so many establishments today . Prices are very reasonable, and my shrimp and chicken with peanut sauce was delicious . This dish came with a generous portion of vegetables mixed in, making for a genuinely complete dinner . The charming owner and waitresses, all from Fujian, China, were exceptionally polite, attentive and cordial ; other restaurateurs could learn much from a visit to Taku . Did I leave anything out ?

Comment: There are about four sushi places in the garden city / south Mineola area. Ive now been to all of them.Taku is by far the best. Cleanest place, freshest fish and best selection. Prices are a little high, but thats the area. Id recommend any of the special rolls, as well as the basic roles. Good prices on beer and soda. I will be going back.

The atmosphere is very relaxed. All kinds of people come in, from an old couple to a small group of four friends.I ordered something simple--the illusion salmon. But what I saw and ate was a delicious display of fresh salmon.The special dishes are extraordinarily beautiful!You have to check it out for yourself!

Pricing was fair, service was quick. Nice drink menu as well. If you have sushi all the time this is a must try. If you are new it is a good starting place without breaking the bank.

I hadnt had that any place else and I enjoyed it.The decor in this place is what drew me in. The exterior was unassuming but the interior felt plush and modern. Staff was very nice and the service overall was excellent.I dined around lunch time on a Friday. Takeout counter seemed busy but didnt interfere with dining experience. With a few other diners seated, it wasnt too crowded either. Would highly recommend.

Comment: Taku has become a staple of my diet. They are levels above the routine Chinese that you find locally. My friends and I head over every Thursday night and are always greeted warmly by the staff. The atmosphere is fantastic. The drinks are great, (try the dragon slayer), and my personal fave dish remains the Shrimp Pad Thai. Perfection.Now they are a little more expensive than other normal fast Chinese food, but the increase in quality is WELL worth it, not to mention they are the exact same speed. And come on were talking like a 2 buck increase in price from fast food Chinese. Also, if a bunch of poor college students can afford it... then there really is no excuse.
