Comment: This has become a staple in my family & we come here almost monthly. We found this place after a very charismatic chef tried to convince to come in yet we had just eaten & promised him we would return. We did & we were not disappointed, the service is great & the food is even better. I recommend their Long hot pepper, both with chicken & with beef, The kung pao chicken, orange chicken, dry pepper style chicken (or beef) & their vegetable rice noodles . Thats all ive had so far yet i believe anything you order, you wont regret.

Comment: A nice Sichuan restaurant conveniently located near Bryant Park. The service is responsive and kind - no stress. The place is clean and well lit, with your usual Chinese theme decoration. The menu has what you would want whether its authentic Sichuan or American Chinese.We got the sichuan dishes in it was solid. Not the best Ive had and not bad at all. I especially like the pea vines. The rice noodles were a bit bland. The mapo tofu food was okay, and could have been a lot spicier.

Warmly welcomed by the service staff who spoke English as well as Mandarin & Cantonese, we knew we were in for a treat when we learnt the chef was from Chengdu. Service was friendly, helpful & prompt. The food appeared piping hot & fast! Great when dining family style & sharing dishes. The Gong Bao chicken was outstanding as well as the tofu & chilli fish. In facf - everything we had was spot on & spice levels can be adjusted. Reasonably priced & portions are large so be hungry when you come here. Definitely recommend this place for a quick & spicy authentic experience.

Comment: Fantastic Chinese restaurant in the heart of midtown. I was looking for a decent Chinese restaurant that was kid friendly and I stumbled upon The Best Sichuan on Google. I am thrilled that we gave it a try.The food was delicious. Everything was prepared fresh and exactly to order. Everything was really full of flavor. You could tell that everything was homemade. The sauces were not overly sweet and had just the right amount of spice. All dishes were prepared with fresh herbs and spices. The kitchen was speedy as well which certainly helps with a bunch of hungry kids.Also, the service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly, attentive and gracious.The restaurant was also extremely clean and well kept (even the bathrooms were spotless).A true gem, and well definitely be back!!

Comment: Greeted warmly upon entry, the menu is varied and guarantees for a pleasant delicious meal.They can adjust spice levels as needed, so I ordered a milder version of the chicken dry pot, as well as an amazingly cooked scallion pancake, which it’s flakiness reminded me of a warm buttery croissant.Bonus points, I asked for a ginger ale, and they brought out an ice cold can of Canada Dry, I’ve been getting lots of unflavourful fountain ginger ale from restaurants lately…Loved the experience, Best Sichuan can keep their name and bragging rights.

Comment: This place is so good! Came in today and they treated me so nicely. The food was not like your typical corner Chinese food restaurant. It was sooooo fresh and so good. The staff made me feel so welcomed. I got the fried chicken dumplings and the sesame beef as an entree . It was so delicious and so filling. Taking the rest home to my man lol. Drinks was good too btw :) 10/10. Ps: it’s also very casual.

Comment: Started with the fried pork buns very delicious, then we got the dan dan noodles very delightful peanut oil I believe great tasting noodles . Last but not least we had the hot sauce style chicken which was a hit !! Great spices pretty hot order with caution but even tho the spice was up there the flavor evened it out I definitely recommend this dish big enough for 2- 3 peoples depending on how hungry you are.

Excellent service, very friendly staff and the food is really good. We tried the scallion pancakes, fish dry hot pot and chicken lo mein. The fish dry hot pot was especially good. A tad spicy but very tasty. An iced tea or coke is a good companion. Will definitely return..

The food and service was just fantastic and Im sorry that we were headed to a show and couldnt bring the leftovers. The portion sizes for dinner are easily enough for 2-3 people.

Comment: I’ve gone to The Best Sichuan for years and it is one of the best chinese as well as sichuan restaurants in NYC.Before they relocated to 39thST a few years ago and hit the pandemic, they used to be on 38thST between 6th and Broadway. The restaurant was always full of customers and well-known for great sichuan food in the area.This current location is even better as it has more upscale looking with high ceiling and a beautiful bar. They carry all kinds of liquors with reasonable price.If you are not so familiar with sichuan cuisine(generally spicy🌶), you could go with their delicious and authentic fresh made dumplings. Also, their fried rice is not so greasy but really flavorful. My personal favorite is dry pepper style chicken. If you like spicy peppery stir fried chicken, this is something you would have to try. Also, the dry pot style is amazing as the meat is so tender and flavorful with all different veggies in the pot and it is served with small stove on your table and keep the food warm until you are done. It is highly recommended as well.In terms of service, they provide customers with best service. The food and drinks come always fast. All the waitstaffs are so nice and attentive, and especially the head waiter is very kind! They have a lot of regular customers visiting frequently from the area as the service is amazing. It is truly hard to find a place like The Best Sichuan that serve great quality food with reasonable price and great service. Highly highly recommend here!!!

Family style dining is the way to go guys.Called for a reservation but you don’t need to for a Friday night. It’s barely half filled and that should change after this awesome review of course. The place can use some touch up especially when entering. It looks a little chaotic and your eye will gravitate to the second floor balcony dining area. Next time I want that spot.We skip directly to the entree. Appetizers are for people who are not hungry and none of us fit into that category. Omg the food. Chili pepper fish fillet is out of this world. Just the pepper corn is a little messy to eat. I wish they would just grind it down to powder. Double cook pork is on par and rest of the dinner.The service lady is nice with very very little English. We managed to get our order correctly thou.Thanks for the lemon in the water that is a great touch.

Comment: I cannot believe how much I liked this place! Their mojito is phenomenal!!! Crystal shrimp dumplings were perfect and the Kung pao chicken and pork friend rice was so damn good! All the flavors were on point!!! Ill be back for sure!
