Comment: They are open for lunch this week, so I went there to try the Fluffy Dashi Omelet sandwich by a Japanese chef. When I bit into the fluffy omelet, the flavor of dashi was amazing, and it was surprisingly rich and filling. This is the best sandwich Ive ever had and probably the only place you can get it in New York. There is also a wide variety of menu items such as the famous Pork cutlet sandwich, Wagyu burger sandwich, chicken cutlet sandwich, and fried shrimp sandwich. Sandwich fans must try it!Lunch time Monday-Friday 12:00-15:00

Comment: Very interesting fusion dishes with a modern decor. we tried the mentai cream spaghetti which was more interesting in theory than in person. the upstate chicken was also enjoyable and the house made sakes are all spectacular. the service is pretty slow and not particularly attentive so don’t expect that but overall the experience here is nice. A good place to start a night out

Comment: Love this spot with all of my heart. I usually go solo on a Monday or Tuesday. It’s perfectly cozy, usually playing good music, and not too crowded. My go-to is a Sapporo, then the takiniku (steak) + mushroom garlic fried rice, combine em in the same bowl if you’re feeling extra hungry. Perfect for what it is, always happy I went.

Comment: A total of 8 of us came to The Izakaya to celebrate my friends birthday. Fortunately the restaurant takes reservations so we were able to book a table which was hidden towards the back. It was very nice and intimate!The menu consists of tapas style Japanese dishes that ranged from sashimi, yakiniku, veggies, fried chicken, an assortment of rice dishes and more! I definitely recommend ordering a bunch of dishes and, I guarantee, youll end up ordering more afterwards.Also their sake selection is fantastic which includes the restaurants in-house sake.Overall we had a great time!

Comment: The food was really good and tasty. However, the price was way too over priced. I know Japanese tapas is usually serves in a small portion however it was way too small but the dining experience was great. You’ll have to expect to spend at least $150 for each person to fully dine in.

Comment: The interior design and ambience is lovely. Service is nice. Also, it feels intimate for couples. The salmon and beef tongue are spot on!! Dont get the ice cream which tastes so not authentic.

Comment: Great place for tapas in the city near Saint Marks Place! we came here with a group of four, came hungry and left full. However the prices were pretty steep and our wallet stuff we took a hit! The restaurant overall is quite small and can only fit a handful of people. The weight staff was great. Each of the entrées had a different taste and texture. I will definitely give this place a try.

Comment: Besides the fact it’s kind of out the way, it’s pretty decent restaurant. All the dishes we ordered was great. Especially the sandwich is a must-have. The restaurant itself is pretty small so it could get really crowded and loud so I wouldn’t recommend it for a date though it’s a good place to go with group of friends.Service is also very friendly.

Comment: The BEST KATSU SANDWICH ON EARTH truly deserves its title, never have I been able to describe katsu as melt in your mouth soft. The milk bread was toasted perfectly and I loved the sauce and pickles.I also got an order of the curry rice with chicken katsu, but it takes a true photographer to get a great picture of curry rice... Their curry rice definitely tops the list of curries I have had outside of Japan (and even some in Japan) as the sauce is very flavorful and rich. I ordered it with the chicken katsu which was perfectly fried and bountiful. I appreciated that they boxed the curry separately so the dish didnt become soggy on my commute home. My only suggestion would be to include a little fukujinzuke, an ingredient as essential to curry rice as the curry and rice itself.
