Comment: Considering its quite literally near being a hole in the wall, Ive got to give them credit. Its 8 degrees outside so eat in was not so popular tonight but in their computer the orders were flying in for delivery.The fish is extremely fresh so the sushi was actually pretty great. The kara age was made with a different batter than usual but it was crispy and juicy. Their ramen was huge! Way more than I expected for the price.The outer storm door was broken, no window so every time someone walked in, you felt the cold, icy wind blowing in. Other than that, I really enjoyed it

Comment: Really love this place. Great place to dine or get your delivery from. Peggy is very nice and the place is clean. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. They serve brown rice and make soups for me that are vegan and tasteful. The soba noddles stir fried are also great.

Comment: Tried their Beef Negimaki. Not the best but not the worst. It was edible. Umi Sushi in Fresh Meadows makes the Negimaki more sweeter with glazed. Everyone makes it different. Overall, other food items was delicious. Their customer service is really pleasant.

Comment: First time ordering here right when they opened on a Sunday. Great local spot, kind owners, great prices for the relative cuts you can get around bayside. I thought the sashimi cuts could be better, maguro was chewy but good for the price point as well as the Botan ebi and hamachi. Generous portions on the rolls as well.

Comment: This place is what the late Chef Bourdain would call a hidden gem. The Sushi is beyond excellent. The Toro Scallion is like Butter. I travel almost an hour to have lunch on Saturday sometimes because its rare to find this level of perfection. Tokyo GoGo I think your doing an excellent job.

I think some of those negative reviews are fake or mixing it up with another restaurant. The only complaint is that wait times can be long.. that tells you how busy they are with returning customers.

Comment: I think Im addicted to this place and Ive only ordered through Door Dash. The Katsu pork is amazing and its served with sticky rice on the side,. I also recommend the fried ice cream-travels surprisingly well. My dad spicy tuna and shrimp tempura and its fresh and great portion and representation. I cant wait for it to get warmer, I would love to dine in!

We tried sushi and sashimi combo as well as salmon teriyaki, shrimp teriyaki, ribeye steak teriyaki, and chicken katsu. Steak was not of highest quality cut, but still very good for the price. Everything else was just awesome.Finally, I would highly recommend green tea teramisu - very unusual combination (green tea instead of coffee?), but it was really testy. Regular mocha ice cream was great too.

Comment: We love this place! My husband and I were in the mood for some Japanese food and stumbled upon this small family owned restaurant. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and for $16 bucks came with a lot of options! The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. My husband ordered the spicy vegetable ramen and he’s a super picky eater and absolutely loved it. We finished our meals with Vanilla Mochi ice cream and left happily full. We will definitely come back for the amazing food and friendly service.

Comment: My Wifey, baby girl and I have been checking out local eatieries around the Douglston area. We are always looking for a casual quick Asian bite. We were in the mood for ramen and sushi and hence my wife found this place! It didnt have its own parking lot but there was ample street parking in the area.The place was well equipped to handle small groups of people but I can see it filling up fairly quickly. We had a partial booth seating area that was spacious enough to accomodate my baby girl and her stroller. The decor was inviting and the area was clean. When we got the menu, it was easy to navigate and contained its own set of sushi, rolls and ramen.I ordered a shoyu ramen while my sweetheart ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the spicy seafood tempura roll. The rolls were warm and well placed on the plate! The ramen was a generpis portion. However the broth was a bit overly salty. It could use a touch less salt, maybe a less salty soy sauce for its soup base.Overall this place was a pleasant place to dine and we would definitely come back again

I only order takeout sushi from them but it’s better than other competitors in the area in terms of value and freshness (Tokyo gogo sushi > toku, moonstone, masago, Laverne sushi). I personally enjoy the angel roll. They are quick to deliver and the delivery guy is really nice. I know the spot they’re in is a restaurant graveyard but I really hope this one lasts - give it a try!

Comment: This place is a real gem, so much better than your average neighborhood Japanese restaurant. They take a serious approach to selecting their fish, and the chefs are real pros. Its casual, theres usually a game on the TV, and at first glance there is little to distinguish it from the countless other places that look just like it (except the little Tokyo-style plastic food display ought to be a clue). There is a crunch-filled special rolls category on the menu - I guess its obligatory to have it these days and to be fair, their American-style roll concoctions are really good (my indulgence was the Spicy Seafood Tempura roll, $7, a dreamy meal unto itself). But dont be misled - if you like sushi you should go straight for the set dinners or explore the sashimi/nigiri selection, which goes way beyond the usual. To top it off, they are pretty friendly and they have Sapporo on draft. In short it is the neighborhood Japanese restaurant that you wish you had down the street. Read this review and weep, 99% of America. Highly recommended.

Comment: I stumbled upon this restaurant today in Douglaston. This place is amazing as I travel to Japan often for work and the soup here surpassed my expectations. The broth with the chirasu pork and vegetables tasted awesome! Also, I tried the sweet potato sushi and it was delicious. Too bad I dont have a picture because I started eating my bowl of ramen and devoured the whole thing in five minutes. 😀 Next time Ill post pictures. Also, the staff is courteous and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. If youre in the Bayside or Douglaston area, give this place a visit.You wont be disappointed.
