Comment: Excellent food. Even though it is clearly a Korean restaurant, I can definitely say this is some of the best Japanese food I have tasted on Staten Island. From the takoyaki to the tonkatsu to the sushi, it is freshly made and they taste absolutely amazing. They are reasonably priced too. I have not tried their Korean food yet, but that is definitely on the list of things to do here next time. Also, I heard they have karaoke nights, but Im not into that so I cant give feedback there.

Comment: I feel like some of these bad reviews are for the wrong restaurant. Ive never had bad service here and the sushi is delicious! I appreciate the authentic Korean offerings as well and the Bon Chon is the best Ive ever had. It is more expensive than your basic Asian faire on Staten Island but I feel like youre getting better quality with it as well. Are some of these people missing taste buds? I dont know.

Comment: Went with my daughter (11yo) to celebrate her upcoming graduation. The food and the experience were nothing short of amazing! Great cuts of meat, delicious sauces and add-ons. Even the dessert was great. The staff were helpful and assisted my daughter and I as it was our first time there. She and I will remember this day forever. A big thank you to the staff.

Comment: If youre in Staten Island and looking for an authentic Korean restaurant, this place is for you. Korean cooks and owner, legit flavors and presentation, and very chill restaurant. The waitresses are so nice too. Theyre barbecue servings are kind of pricey but I prefer eating the Korean dishes here anyway. My favorite is the beef intestine stew (곱창 정골) !!

Comment: Very honest foodTheir best sushi/sashimi is hirame (fluke) 광어. The sushi man serves hirame in Korean style that is the live fish is fileted and served in the same day. This gives a very distinctive texture to the raw fish. The Japanese prefers drying and aging for 8 to 12 hrs for a softer texture. I prefer the slightly unique texture of the fish over softer Japanese style.They also make real good Korean soups. My go to soup are kalbe tang and soon tofu. The service when I first went (around a year ago) wasn’t great, but I’ve been back since and it’s great :) They have a good lunch special and the fish tasted delicious. Parking lot is small because its a shared lot amongst the other stores, but that does not take away from the quality of food. Ive had sushi all over the island, but they really do it well. The sushi is fresh and worth it. I still have to try the Korean BBQ portion. I did have their bibimbap with chicken which comes in like a metal hot bowl and that is such a great choice if its your first time. I would go back just to experience more of the menu. Price of the meat Korean BBQ is pricey, but meat is expensive so I get it.

The vegetable dressing is amazing, I could honestly drink it. And the bibimbop was my first ever experience in the dish and Ive loved it since. The service is great and its pretty spacious in there with good seating. A nice little gem in SI.

Comment: My boyfriend and I visited this place and it was an amazing experience. We loved our server so much. She was a pleasant part of our meal. She Engaged us in conversation while cooking our food for us. We got there early so she took the time to show us how to use the Korean bbq and explained the menu to us and also suggested we try the sushi next time we go! We most definitely will come back soon. This is the best Korean bbq I’ve had, the meats aren’t heavily seasoned because it’s great quality. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone looking to have a great meal in Staten Island. The vibe is really nice too. I loved all the flowers.

I got the Hwe Dup Nap lunch special which is A LOT of sashimi over salad and rice with I believe bonito flakes, sesame seeds and other seasonings. Very spicy sauce came on the side. Comes with the rice on the side, another side salad and a soup(not pictured,I ate it already) So freaking good ! Highly suggested, very clean place. Smelled freshly sanitized when I walked in !

Comment: We are regulars here. The Korean food is very good and really is the only option on SI. The fusion dishes are also very nicely prepared. No other Asian place comes close to the quality and service in the area. Well worth the visit.

Comment: Great experience, never had a Korean barbeque before. Food was delicious. We had the ribs bbq and the steak bbq. We loved it! We also had sushi. Service was amazing. There was also music. A guy singing and playing the piano. Will definitely go back again

Comment: One of my most favorite restaurants on Staten Island, staff are friendly. Price is a little bit more expensive than other sushi restaurants you usually go to, but the size is bigger so its still worth it.You can also feel comfortable to order Korean food here. Since the store is run by Koreans, the Korean food they do is the same good as sushi, if not better. I highly recommend Hwe Dup Bap (aka assorted raw fish in hot sauce over rice), they do this one even better than the Korean restaurants in Koreatown.

Comment: I LOVE their food! Absolutely! The chicken teriyaki is delicious. The Tempura is crispy and perfectly done. But BEST of all, Im obsessed with the Hwe Dup Bap, a mixture of sashimi pieces on top of a huge salad served with a Korean hot sauce. Absolute heaven! Just writing about it makes my mouth water!

The best sushi n e where I was in Japan 2014 thinking sushi was gonna be the best I went to 7 different places in Japan n it wasnt as good as this place I love going to this place. I just live too far if this place was next to my house I would go every week. Best sushi ever
