Comment: Go for the sushi lunch deal!! 3 rolls for 15 dollars is unbeatable, especially when it is a genuinally high-quality delicious sushi. They are open late some days as well, so it is nice for the nights that the only other thing open are bars. Highly recommend overall!

Comment: The chashu here was different from what I expected. I was expecting Japanese style chashu, but got Cantonese style. The roasted duck and chashu tasted good. The endless love sushi roll was nice. The jalapeños on the top added a nice level of spicy taste and crunchy texture to the finish.

Comment: This is the best sushi in Long Island no question. I would consider myself a pretty good food critic and when it comes to sushi and freshness this place cannot be beat. Wash it down with sake and call it a day! The staff is super friendly and always on point. Kudos to the sushi chefs!

The rice noodle dish I got that I shared with my girlfriend was incredible + had a nice kick to it. Definitely my new favorite restaurant, we will totally keep coming back.

Comment: Nice, cozy place. Menu will take several trips to sample. Spicy shrimp with crispy spinach was surprisingly sweet, but good. They use very high quality shrimp here. Wife had shrimp lol mein. Equally good. The tempura appetizer was a little lackluster, but it was a nice, affordable meal. We will return to try the sushi/sashimi/etc. Oh and they have Ramune!

Comment: We LOVE this place! The staff is always amazing, the food is also incredible! We have never had a bad experience with them. We order a lot of take out from them but we do go out to eat there also once in a while. The woman who wait the tables and do the front end work are always so polite and friendly, they really do everything to make you feel welcome there. We refuse to go anyplace else for sushi once we found Umami. They entree dishes are also amazing but most times we do get sushi from them. If you are in the area they are deff the place to try out! You won’t regret it!

Comment: Nice place to eat sushi. They have cooked and uncooked both. They were very welcoming. Nice serving. And affordable even for students. They have manues starting from 8 to $$. Their food were delicious. I had the mango shake and sushi combo which comes with a soup and dumplings. It was tasty. They have separate cubicle for different cistomer groups. They have clean washrooms. The foods are made fresh and live infront of the customers.

Comment: Get the blue fin toro, salmon, sea bream & surf clam sashimi! So rich & fresh. We had a lovely time at dinner at the bar having a variety of things and chatting with the nice staff. The Malaysian fried rice was great too. The menu is extensive. I went here a couple of times when it was Hikudo (dark, dated, average food) and like the new lighter, modern decor. Apparently, this is their 3rd location.

Comment: Easily the best Japanese restaurant my wife and Ive visited on Long Island. The chef is creative with his dishes, and his ideas are delicious. The sashimi is fresh, and the sushi is often finished with surprising touches that pays off. For example, try the uni. It comes with a dash of toro on top, as well as a hit of heat. Fun on the taste buds, and a joy to try out. Ive tried both their lunch and dinner services. I really like their oysters, as well. Moving here from NorCal a year ago, I actually despaired over the dearth of good and authentic Japanese places here. Well, the blues are gone. Ill load pictures later. Cause Im headed there now. Try them out. Im confident you will enjoy it!
