Comment: The continuatiation of a popular popup Ramen first served past midnight at a now closed west village izakaya. As the name suggests, the space is airy and decorated with greenery making you feel like dining at an outdoor gazebo. All the dishes are grammable from the drinks, flower lattes to omurice, ramen and of course fluffy japanese pancakes. Everything was delicious, the subtle ramen stock enhances instead of drowning out the ingredients. Omurice and sauce done excellently, and the jiggly pancake with tasty macha sauce. Stop by for brunch, dinner, whenever and discover for yourself.

This place is absolutely outstanding in NYC. Ill definitely come back!The interior, the food, the elegant tableware, and the courteous service were all wonderful. Comment: If you don’t like a ramen with an actual broth base, keep walking! But if you like quality ingredients and no-frills ramen, this is the ramen for you. Shio is straight broth and the Sho Yu is slightly a bolder version.The Cha-Shu pork were excellent cuts, with the right mix of meat and fat, and they wore braised to the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture without being too soft.All for $18. Yes please. There is clearly a focus on quality ingredients and precision preparation. The atmosphere felt very tidy and a step above casual, with light jazz music and airy decor. A great add to the neighborhood.The fries were quite nice as well.The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They had an authentic interest in our dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning from time to time. Hopefully brunch is similarly impressive!FWIW, we sat at the bar for a chill date night and enjoyed to intersecting with the bartender while she carefully crafted mixed drinks that each had a unique edge to them.

Comment: Pros: better than I expected, owned and operated by Japanese folks, the quinoa salad, salmon sashimi and the vegan ramen were BANGIN.Cons: they wouldnt let us sit in a 4 person seating section cause we didnt want to sit right next to others in the dining area, so sat at the bar (no biggie). The VEGAN ramen broth was better than the original ramen. Some can take this as a positive, which is true but I say the original should always be the staple of any venue.

Comment: Dinner was delicious. I walked by this place and thought the interiors were very pretty and the tables were almost full (a sign of a good restaurant) so I gave it a chance. We ordered a couple of beers (we tried the matcha beer, not our favorite) two hamburgers (the sauce was really good) a ramen, and a dessert, and all of the dishes were delicious!! The only problem we had was that we never received any of the rice that came with the hamburgers. Service was good! Overall it was a nice experience!

Comment: Ive come back several times since I enjoy the atmosphere and the distinct menu compared to the other options in the neighborhood. We espeically enjoy the Omurice (Egg Omelette) and Hamburg Steak, though the Ramen is a good option as well.I dont give 5 stars because Ive noticed that the staffing is sometimes inconsistent, and there was one time I went with a friend of mine that was vegetarian and the only vegetarian dish (the vegan ramen) was unavailable, so it was very limiting for my guest. The reservation system on their website seemed to be out of order as well, so we had to call to make the reservation.We still enjoy the spot though, and the drinks are very visually beautiful, and there are more that I would like to try.

The parm fries were good, but it felt like it wasnt anything spectacular. We ordered 2 ramen, the classic shio, and sho yu. The food here feels super healthy and clean. Broth was very smooth and on thinner side. Im more of a thick broth type of person but it was good. It doesnt look like much food, but you will leave decently fuller than you expect.

Comment: Ive been here 3 times already and it was all very good. Weve basically tried the whole menu and our favorite is definitely the omu rice and the ramens. The omu rice was not too sweet and I really love the glaze. On the other hand, we really loved the creme brulee pancakes. It is extremely fluffy, really light, and not too sweet. Its the perfect brunch.I personally dont like hamburg because of its texture, it feels a little soggy and mushy inside (but thats how its supposed to be).Food comes out pretty quickly and the coffees are pretty good too. The drinks are fun and exciting.Im really glad I tried it before it blew up on social media, the store just seemed so busy all the time now. Happy for them.

Comment: Came in around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was not too busy looking with some empty tables and waited about 5-10minutes before someone greeted us (party of 2). Once greeted we took a seat and ordered right away which was great. From the time it took to order to the food getting to the table it took just over 35 minutes. We ordered the classic shio and Syo-yu (no apps or special drinks). The portion was a tad bit on the smaller side compared to the surrounding ramen shops however it was definitely a clean and flavorful broth. The raddish sprouts in my dish also had some really black leaves (like a wilted or a bad leaf). I worked in the restaurant industry before so Im aware of this happening from time to time but it would have been nice to have it removed before putting it in my dish.Overall a decent experience if you have the time to wait for the food.

Comment: Everything was perfect! Ramen was really tasty. I ordered a salad, fried chicken(5 stars for this one also!) and a ramen. My friend ordered Hamburg steak and she loved it! Drink was also amazing.Good service and good atmosphere. Will definitely come back❤️

Comment: Interesting newly-opened Japanese restaurant serving fancy comfort food offerings (at fancy prices, of course) such as ramen, omurice, and hamburg steak, as well as souffle pancakes for breakfast. The atmosphere is quite nice, and the staff were very kind. (There were some delays with my food, and they were very apologetic and kept me updated.)The Hamburg steak was decent, with an accompaniment of asparagus, french fries, and rice. Id recommend to the restaurant to maybe replacing one of the carbs with another vegetable. I also ordered the LIC Tea, which was fantastic, containing an Earl Grea tea-infused gin Ive never had before.Id like to come back here and try their breakfast and ramen offerings in the future. Ill update my review once I do so.

Comment: Came here for desserts and drinks and absolutely loved it. The service here is lovely and food and drinks were so good. Our favorites were the matcha soufflé pancakes and rose martini. So happy to have a cute spot like this in the neighborhood.

The food is elegant at perfectly executing familiar dishes.Soft music and comfy seats make it the best date spot, and they are open late! The time flies while you enjoy the fresh dishes and delicious drinks. Ask about their champagne and port wines!Also, the staff will happily let you practice speaking Japanese. Love Vert Frais!

Comment: Love this place!! The aesthetic and coziness, in addition to how delicious the food is, made my experience very memorable. I highly recommend the hamburger steak; it was super soft and had the perfect taste. The drinks here looked amazing, and it tasted even better!
