Comment: This little restaurant looks like maybe not so fancy from outside. But I will assure you this is one of the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. We got edamame for the starter, and the sushi boat for 2. The edamame was nice and salty. The boat was HUGE! We got an amazing set of sushi. When you generally eat sushi, you don’t feel so full afterwards but we were stuffed. We tried Sapparro and Asahi. Both of them were good beers. And we paid under $100 including the tip. Definitely it will be one of my go-to sushi place.

Comment: This place was once a bastion of authenticity.However since the pandemic started the quality has slipped a bit. That being said it is still a good place for Japanese. Not the best (that would be Kunis) but a solid 2nd place. The negimaki are always great. The unagi donbury isnt bad at all. Still not like grandma used to make. I miss when sushi bars had more variety, tasty kohada and aji in summer with buri and mutsu in winter. I like the staff here and I hope they offer dine in again soon. Im sure the quality will go up again. Then this place will be #1.

If you have food allergies, this is the sushi place for you as its easy to see what is in each roll and they are taking safety and health seriously. Comment: This is hands down one of my favorite sushi places anywhere. It feels traditional, casual, authentic. Its affordable and high-quality. Ive been to restaurants that feel much fancier and are much more expensive, and I prefer this every time. Its a small storefront on a busy strip, intimate, cozy, sparsely adorned with traditional, simple Japanese decor. Great for couples or small groups. Its also one of the only restaurants that I go to where I feel completely comfortable dining solo. Whether youre local or visiting Buffalo, if you like sushi you definitely have to go here.

I love choosing the lunch combo thats only $10-11 (I forget if its 10 or 11) and you get miso soup with three different rolls. I love having the choice of three different rolls. The menu is wide and varied and the prices are pretty competitive compared to other sushi joints along Elmwood. Definitely try their take on the Spicy Yellowtail! It was amazing!Presentation of food was great. Decor was awesome. Id definitely recommend this to anyone whos looking for a great sushi time at a quieter smaller place.
