The ginger dressing on the salad was something I had never tasted before and was so delicious that I bought some to take home as a souvenir. It is a six-hour drive, but I would like to go back again.

Comment: I normally go to the elmwood location, but this night I decided to come here. This location is bigger than elmwoods restaurant, so if you want to dine in come here. As always I enjoy the sushi from wasabi. I feel they have the best sushi in Buffalo. The prices is on the higher side, but every cent is worth it

Comment: The food at Wasabi is consistently good. The service is also good. And the prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere inside is good too, if you want to eat in. Ive tried several different items here and have been very pleased. The spicy mango shrimp is especially good. I will say that the pad Thai, although decent, could use some improvement. But, then again, this isnt a Thai restaurant. As far as sushi, they have a nice variety here, so something for everyone.

It had been a few years since Id been there, and the food was just as awesome as Id remembered. Avocado and tofu salad is a favorite, and I believe its the best sushi you can get aside from much more expensive restaurants. The great and personable service is the topper... Very Recommended!

Comment: Definitely 5 out of 5, I walked in with a low appetite and super high expectations but I was not disappointed. I’ve been to so many Japanese restaurants before so I always look for some special items. Nigiri Sushi and sashimi slices were fresh and consistent, the crab rolls had a crunch in it, adding zing to my taste. The beef teriyaki with scallions has quite interesting texture too, especially good with rice together. We had no problem finished it all and walked out satisfied. 3 Lunch meals 40 bucks for 2 person including taxes and tips. Not so busy at lunch time. You will have a nice and quiet environment with foods prepared with extra care. Recommended.

Comment: First time trying this location (used to go to the one on Elmwood but they dont have dine in anymore) and the quality is the same. Fish is very fresh and their sushi tastes great, rice is cooked properly and the sashimi is very generous. Me and my husband ordered the Titanic and the Love Boat, and we definitely underestimated the size of them, we usually eat a lot and we couldnt finish our dishes. The only reason I wont give 5 stars is because I think their menu is a bit cliche, there arent many creative options (most items you can find in any other sushi restaurants) and they were out of all beers the day we went. Other than that this is one of the best in town for sure.

Comment: This is my go-to sushi place.If you’re looking for high end sushi, look else. If you’re looking for good sushi at reasonable prices, this is for you. I especially think there lunch box specials are well worth the price.The staff is usually friendly and helpful. The decor is not too out of date and the place is well maintained.The my favorite part about this restaurant is that their takeout is just as good as their dine-in. Usually takeout is subpar, not as generous with portions, smashed oni to-go containers, and presented unappealing. Not the case here. Thank you!

Comment: A for effort, I guess?There is no reason that anyone cant open a sushi bar. You do not have to be Japanese to open a sushi bar. The employees here were speaking mandarin. While that isnt unusual you should at least learn some Japanese terms that are important to taking a sushi order. At the very least they should have learned what the English equivalent of that word. Uni with uzura is not a complicated order not is it uncommon. Still the uni was fresh. The server was attentive but seemed to be in a rush despite us being the only customers at the start of our meal.The TLDR: The food was good but the service was odd.

Comment: Very good sushi. I order here often recently for takeout. Tried several different rolls, overall the sushi is very fresh. Rice has good consistency. Nigiri and sashimi fish is typically meaty and fresh. When pandemic is better I definitely go inside and try more of other ones. There are couple of times they were really busy over the weekend and order got delayed, but that happens every restaurant, especially during the pandemic.Overall the service and food are really good if you enjoy sushi. I recommend.

The pepper tuna salad is out of this world tasty, and the wasabi cream dressing is zesty and perfect for the field greens. Ive only had basic rolls with my salad, but the crunchy scallop roll was absolutely perfect- Fresh, flavorful, a hint of heat- Everything I like in a crunchy spicy roll. And the sushi rice is probably the best Ive had locally. Im fairly certain they add sesame oil to their sushi rice, giving it a nutty, earthy aroma and going really well with the fish and soy.Definitely recommend Wasabi to anyone looking to have some excellent sushi.

Comment: One of my favorite western new York sushi restaurants. The service is always great and the food is just as good. My 2 favorite speciality rolls are the super dynamite and the sun flower. Their presentation of the rolls is always beautiful. Another favorite thing to order when I go with groups of people is any one of their sushi boats, which include soup, salad and large verity of different types of sushi and sashimi. The last reason why I enjoy this restaurant is it where my an my wife had our first date.

Comment: I LOVE WASABI!!!! Never had any complaints. They have great Saké, Sushi, & they have 2 of my favorites: nabeyaki udon and mochi 😍 if you want yummy authentic japanese cuisine dont go anywhere else.

Comment: Went for lunch. Short wait time. Excellent food. Ordered a lunch combo. Food was excellent. Sushi very fresh and flavorful. Value was excellent as well. Full for $7.95. Good for groups of 4, or less. Only saw booths, no tables. Will return, for sure.

Comment: I never understood why this place didnt have a higher rating until I looked further into them. The lowest rating (and only one below three stars) is from years ago, which makes sense, because this place is amazing. I travel a lot to the west coast and have had the opportunity to eat super fresh sushi, so especially after those vacations it is difficult to find local sushi that satisfies my cravings. Ive tried quite a few in the area and Wasabi is my favourite so far. They have the best spicy tuna rolls, also! Definitely a good price for the quality. Its become my go-to spot in the Buffalo area.
