Comment: Wanted to update my review from a few years ago. The food definitely got better so did the atmosphere! Really love the grab and go style. They have a wide variety of foods, both hot and cold, and a nice selection of beverages. Today I had the chicken katsu curry which was very good. When you need a quick lunch, this is definitely one of the top spots you can go to. Really love the layout of the seating area. It was a tad bit warm in the restaurant for my taste, but the seating outside in the hallway was definitely nice and cool. The staff was super friendly and nice.

Wasabi is so far the best quick Sushi spot within walking distance of my office; I have tried the one across broadway, Fulton Key Food and Whole Foods. The store is compact but serviceable. Wasabi is better in terms of the amount of food and the price points. Pricing is on par with the other quick sushi spots in the area. The store is bright and the ready to go sushi is laid out in a clean well lighted area to the right as you enter the store.The salmon sushi I had tastes amazingly fresh with an almost melt in your mouth appeal to it. The little green salad (not sure of the name) was interesting but tasty nonetheless. I will definately be back to try some other entrees when I crave sushi which basically every Friday.

Whatever you want to eat, both sushi and hot dishes, is ready. Have a Miso soup, they just put hot water and thats it, delicious. The only black point is that they dont have tea or any hot drinks. Located in the food area in the second floor Angel structure. Highly recommended to continue on the Tours and not waste time.

Comment: This is my second time grabbing a meal from this location. After the first time I was looking forward to going back. This meal was $13.01. The first meal was a poke bowl, this one is a hot meal. From the first bite, I prefer the cold poke bowl. This meal is covered in onions which I mistook for pickled lettuce or cabbage. That was a big disappointment because Im not a huge face of onions. Other then that its tasty. I love eel, and always prefer it when choosing sushi.The restaurant also sells pocky sticks which are a Japanese and Korean dessert. They are afforable at less than $3. You can buy individually wrapped sushi starting at 2 for $2. If you are ever at the World Trade Center mall, I recommend you check the place if you want to grab a quick meal before heading on the train or after getting off the train and doing long hours of shopping.

Only thing is that the sushi is a little cold from being in a refrigerated section. Not a huge issue unless you only eat room temperature sushi.The gyoza (potstickers) variety was really tasty as well. I havent tried the bento box but they looked good. They also have a good selection of Pocky, which I find a plus.

Thats when I remembered Wasabi Sushi & Bento. Its a grab and go place where they sell sushi a la carte, individually wrapped. I really liked that fact that you can get as much or as little as you want. Plus, they have tons of options. And surprisingly, the fish to rice ratio is pretty good. Its not too much rice, like you might expect one of these places to be. Of course, it wasnt the best-tasting sushi Ive ever had, but it did the trick. Where else in the city, let alone this neighborhood can you find $1.50 pieces of sushi?!They also have bento boxes and cooked meals if youre not into the whole raw fish thing. Ill definitely be frequenting this place more often. Unlucky for me, this place is slightly out of the way for me along my route home. Or maybe thats a good thing because my entire paycheck would probably be going to Wasabi...

Comment: So happy to see Wasabi opening an offshoot at Fulton Street transit hub. Its a compact storefront with limited seating space outside the store. Price here is fair (most items are around $10 as of July 2016). The selection is a bit more limited compared to the midtown location, focusing mainly on bento boxes, but theres still a decent variety. The curry here is pretty good too!
