Comment: Update (07/24/2023):Question the outside look of the strip mall, but dont be afraid to enter and then indulge in the delicious food served in this sushi restaurant. The AYCE is the best way to enjoy it.Food is still exceptional. Great service and friendly staff. Price is still a great value and comparable to the other AYCE sushi nearby, but Id say the sashimi/sushi here tastes better than others. The hot dishes like the Teriyaki salmon, soups, and tempuras were also very delicious. The fried Oreo dessert is delicious and not overly battered or greasy. The green tea ice cream tastes like actual ice cream with high quality green tea.Original:Several times I have driven through this vicinity, without knowing of this all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. Enter the small parking lot just off of the busy street, driving upon this small old strip mall, then enter through the door, and be surprised by the huge and open modern industrial decor inside. Dining during a weekday lunch, the place was not busy with many diners, but orders were being picked up to go. Also, COVID is still causing some people to not venture to places. Greeted upon entry and directed towards our seats by the staff. Gave in our order with various selections. Food was served quickly, but were missing a couple items. Kindly told the waitress and she immediately rectified the situation. Sashimi, sushi rolls, appetizers, salads, and numerous soups that we tried were very delicious. The dessert fried Oreo cookie was very good too, not greasy or over-battered. Price is comparable to other AYCE sushi restaurants, but I think the overall quality was better than the others. Will definitely dine here again.

Comment: Ok guys!!! I lived in Japan for 3 years, currently living in California, but came to visit NY. I have traveled many asian countries and this is as authentic as it gets.The food is amazing! The presentation of the food feels as if you are in an expensive place.Actually, we got the All You Can Eat, for less than $28. You cant beat that cost for all you can eat.....Fyi, salmon salad is too salty for my liking, but I loved the other salads. The ribs were too fatty for me, but the other kitchen meals were amazing.the green tea ice cream for dessert was a little blan. Ive had better...over all-amazing!

The rice to fish ratio is 2:1 but it was still good nonetheless (sushi rice itself was pretty good). Great place to eat with a group of friends & ample parking right in front or back.This is a dont judge a book by its cover because the building looks pretty worn down, but inside looks great.

Comment: Ok so I love this restaurant. This was my 2nd time visiting and it is now my best friend and Is restaurant we will visit before we go to any movie we go see. My friend and I goto the movies once every 2 months or so and we always eat prior. Since finding Watawa, weve enjoyed 2 meals for $60 plus tip, which is well worth it. Also, the waitresses are attentive and get the job done very well. Id like to thank all of the workers at Watawa and look forward to my friend asking me to go see another movie so we can enjoy your food again soon!

It was $26.95 per person, their drinks were strong and fairly priced, but what impressed me most was the quality of the fish.Ive been to both high and low end sushi restaurants, and I think this is some of the FRESHEST salmon Ive ever had!!! They really had such great quality fish. The place was clean, service was attentive (but not overbearing) and the food was really delicious.Im so incredibly impressed with the quality of their salmon. I couldnt recommend this place more!! My first time going was two days ago, and Im already looking forward to coming back here.

Beautiful presentation but I wouldnt suggest them.The fish overall was very fresh and nicely cut and I found all the rolls and sushi pieces nicely done but NOTHING special, nothing remarkable. Meh!The staff was not the friendliest either. We all noticed that.I guess it is ok for all you can eat and the pricepoint but nothing special.

I always get miso soup, edamame, vegetarian sushi, fried oreos, and the green tea ice cream. Mushroom soup was okay but seems they dropped raw slices of mushrooms onto hot broth which wasnt the best texture. My boyfriend had the pork katsu which had variable quality during one seating but overall was still good. Sushi was worth the wait.

Comment: My son wanted to go here for his birthday, I never knew it existed. He ate all you can eat sushi for an hour and a half at least. They won’t tell you that they don’t sing happy birthday, lol, but she brought him what he thought was fried ice cream and it had rainbow sprinkles. I had a Bento box with salmon and the fish dumplings and it came with a delicious salad and miso soup that I loved and my soda was very bubbly. My little one enjoyed two Japanese sodas, rice and broccoli and ate my onions but wouldn’t try anything else. The restroom was clean, the waitresses were very nice and attentive and it was comfortable- the chairs had indentations for your butt bones to go in which were nice as I do have a boney butt and sat there for a while. I’m glad I know this is here now, definitely recommend!

Both the sushi and kitchen options are great, I recommend the godzilla roll as one of my personal favorites and you should always top off any good sushi session with a dose of ice cream and fried oreos. Parking out front can be a little tricky so I recommend the lot in the back for less hassle

Comment: For all you can eat sushi, the quality was really good and everything tasted delicious. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because they missed a couple of things from the order. That isnt a big issue because its all you can eat and can just re-order it.

They have a two page drink menu with beer and cocktails, including sake so its a perfect place to go with groups of friends. Try the Kani salad and rock shrimp!

I use to go into the city due to Sushi out on Long Island is very expensive and or a few days old. Well this place is the exception! Sushi is very fresh, prepared very well and presented very professionally. Taste was exceptional and service is always great. Please be nice to them and they will be great to you. This has become my go to place for Sushi! The food is excellent, a friendly and professional staff. Excellent atmosphere.

Comment: Good (not the best, but good) quality sushi. Service is also good. With the AYCE option, would give if 4.5 if you eat large quantities. Remember to ask for the free saki (just one, not AYCD) if you are doing the AYCE. I see some other reviews saying it is a buffet. It is NOT a buffet. The AYCE is made when you order it.

Comment: Nice mid size contemporary Restaurant in a shopping strip. Interior is modern with neon light touches. The have a buffet available where you fill little slips at your table and they make your items to order. Only problem is if its your first time there, the process can be puzzling. Food was enjoyable and service was good however wait staff dropped out somewhat after 9 as they started having their own meal in the corner.

Comment: I recently celebrated my 25th birthday there with four friends of mine, all of us competitive powerlifters. We had quite the combined appetite, to say the least, and we left happy and full! Comment: Definitely the best sushi place I have ever been to. Ive been to Sushi Time 560 and they dont even compare to Watawa. Watawa has them beat on so many levels, and their service is so much better. Their servers consistently bring us more drinks and bring us our full order every time no matter how much we order (Sushi Time, take notes). The price is very fair and certain days the tip is included in the bill, but it is clearly stated in the check when it is which Im not complaining about, its just something some people may need to keep in mind. I dont mind if its included because our servers always earn every penny of gratuity on the bill. Definitely give this place a try because you will not be disappointed

Attentive waitstaff, my tea and water were never empty, no problem ordering a lot of sashimi, sushi, special rolls - all you can eat but prepared to order, not a buffet and we kept ordering more because it was all so delicious, we wanted to try everything. Beautiful presentation of food, ambiance classy and cozy, yet all at a very good value for the price. We will be back regularly.
