Comment: This was such a cool place. Yes, the robots were fun, but even without them, the atmosphere was jazzy and minimalist, like a quiet moment in an episode of Cowboy Bebop. Food was delicious with some fun innovations (I loved the salmon pizza “sushi”) and they really had the best yam tempura I’ve had.They were extremely attentive and polite and took special care to ask in depth about allergies - they really seemed concerned about making sure the food experience was safe and happy for everyone.

Comment: All you can eat sushi, teriyaki, Thai and other Asian dishes. Standouts include the beef short ribs!, spicy wings, soft shell crab rolls, unagi sushi (all of the sashimi & sushi was excellent), sauted mushrooms, creme brulee, mango cheesecake, ice cream.. did I mention this is all you can eat?? Yes, we had 2 servings of dessert, contemplated a 3rd. This is on top of the countless other dishes that we ordered and enjoyed.The process? You place your orders on a tablet (the tablet has pictures with a description). Your food is brought to you by a person or a robot. A couple times, the robot showed up with empty shelves, because our fellow diners might have taken our dishes (by accident?). Not a problem, we just ordered more.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and cant wait to head back.

Comment: I absolutely LOVE, Wind! Its my husband and Is favorite date night spot! Everything is fantastic, from the food, to the people, and the ROBOT SERVERS!!! Always fresh, always delicious food! This last time my husband and I went we had Dau as our waitress, HIGHLY recommend her, shes so sweet and attentive! The robot server even sang Happy Birthday to my husband and delivered him a slice of their scrumptious mango cheesecake! If you want to have a place that makes you feel special while enjoying high quality Japanese and Thai food, Wind is the place for you!

Comment: Im just going to keep giving them five stars as long as I can. I have been to this location a few times as well as the East Izakaya and Wind both located in Niagara Falls, ON. They consistently blow it out of the water with presentation, food, service, and atmosphere. All of the managers we have had the pleasure of meeting are friendly, polite, and professional as they visit each table. The drinks are phenomenal and the cuisine is supreme. I continue to travel to Buffalo and Ontario for the environment they have created. Great job.

We visited during late lunch hours on a Thursday, and the restaurant was moderately busy.The service was outstanding from our hostess to waiter Michael, to our interactions with the managers Max and Sherry! Everyone was visible and attentive to our needs or questions.The food quality was excellent. The chef and kitchen staff did a wonderful job of preparing delicious, well cooked foods in a very short time. The robot Bella was very quick at delivering our food, with so much accuracy.The meal and drinks and service were a dream!I would highly recommend a visit during lunch hours when the restaurant has a wide variety of options & service is very attentive.You can truly enjoy the experience and you will not feel rushed!

Comment: We went here on recommendation from a co-worker and were not disappointed. This restaurant was a bit more of an experience than standard fare - from a robot who can bring your orders to your table to the ambiance - but two things stood out: exceptional service and very tasty food.For a set price, you can sample a variety of excellent sushi and sashimi (yellow tuna was particularly flavorful) to awesome salads and appetizers (mango and onion, YUM) to well-presented rolls, all sped rapidly to your table after you order them on a tablet. I left full but not stuffed, happy and full of omega-3 from my assortment of seafood.I wouldnt necessarily recommend the beef - the spare ribs and beef/mushroom roll were bland and chewy - bur everything else including desserts (green tea cheesecake) were happily devoured.Enjoy a nice date night, but make your reservation online early! They do fill up, but I can see why!

Comment: We have a couple of all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in Buffalo. I believe Wind is the most elegant-looking restaurant among them all. They serve some fish and shell fish that you cant find at Wegmans, which made me really happy as a Japanese person! The seafood was fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the eel. The Thai curry and desserts were also great. Whats nice about this place is that they offer smaller portions compared to other all-you-can-eat restaurants, allowing us to try a variety of dishes. They charge once for dinner price even though we visited during lunch time. The manager explained they serve dinner menus during lunch time. He changed to lunch price since the server didnt ask us which we wanted. Overall that In my opinion, its the best family-friendly sushi restaurant in Buffalo.

Comment: We’ve been to Wind twice on our way to Toronto but we went to the one on Canada’s side before. The food was so-so but my kids love it so I continue to go. This time I gave it a try at the branch in Buffalo NY and I am impressed by everything. The food quality is way better than Canada branch. You feel so welcomed once you step in the restaurant. I am with a service dog and I didn’t feel any disrespect from any employees. The meat in green curry tastes great (the meat in Canada branch is hard to chew and not as hot when it comes to the table). The sushi roll is well made. The fried scallop been on the table for awhile but when I ate the last piece it’s still HOT. The bonus part is the bathroom, it’s now Christmas and they wrapped the door with giant ribbon so the doors look like a present lol and the bathroom is very clean and you can smell the freshener inside. Overall I am very impressed by everything and will only visit and recommend the Buffalo branch.

Comment: Overall we were satisfied with the quality of food. Our server, Michael, was friendly and knowledgeable! He went above and beyond, explaining the differences in flavor profiles of fish and sold us on the omakase experience, which ended up being a super fun and delicious time! The kitchen staff and servers were wonderful.However we were not big fans of the reservation system and the host who greated/seated us. We had confirmed earlier in the evening that we had a reservation at a specific time. Then while enroute to the restaurant we were texted that our reservation was bumped to 30mins later. We were on time and had not missed our reserved time, so it was odd. As we were already on our way we decided to arrive at our original time. After arriving on time for our original reservation we were greeted by the host, who stated immediately that we were early, but hell see what he can do but that most tables were booked, which we thought was what we had done when we made the reservation earlier. I proceeded to tell him what had happened with our reservation to which he said hmmm thats odd, again, without any acknowledgement that they were aware of the bump to a later time, which would be expected as it was from their end. That said, we were seated promptly afterward.Not sure if this was due to a technological error/lag in the system or just an unaware host. But please recognize that if the change was on your end, acknowledge it with people who took the effort to reserve. It also seems they may have over booked certain times and then rebooked people for a later time than the original time. Hopefully going during a weekday will feel less chaotic than this experience.

We always do the all you can eat dinner. I like being able to order a bunch of small plates to try rather than only ordering one dish. They dont serve alcohol yet, but for me thats ok. The robot servers were very cool and fast. If you are new to Asian foods/sushi or you want to try different kinds, this is where you want to go. The sample sizes are perfect and if you like what you try, you can order more. Its all you can eat. Definitely my new favorite spot for Thai/Japanese cuisine. So good! Comment: This place is fantastic! My friend and I had lunch the server Sarah and the food was amazing! The restaurant itself is immaculate everything is so clean. We did have the pleasure of meeting Sarah. Shes very patient and attentive and paid close attention to our dietary restrictions due to food allergy. Not only did she take care of us but she took care of the entire front of the restaurant almost single-handedly. She was the only server that was doing anything. Sarah is the reason that we will come back in the future! She definitely deserves a raise. The host was pleasant, the other employees that were standing around not doing much looked very comfortable. The robot Bella is very cute. It was very entertaining. My receipt says that Max was my server however I never met him unless he was the guy that was hovering around the table when it was time to pay the check.

Ive encountered some misses--didnt love the Udon or the hand rolls--but frankly, a couple misses are hardly an issue with the all you can eat deal. Ive been 3 times and 2 out of 3 times the service was excellent. All of the staff are very friendly. The one remaining time, our waitress was very friendly, but the place was very busy so it took a while to get our food (from both waitress and cat robot). The good thing is they didnt strictly enforce the two-hour time limit.

There were a few items that we had ordered two, but only one arrived; had to wait for the 2nd one. One of those took almost 20 minutes for the 2nd one to arrive.Very attractive inside, the lighting was well done. Dark enough for an elegant mood with spotlights over each table.Note that they do not have a liquor license, so, no spirits, wine or beer.Ordering is done via tablets at each table and they do have tap to pay if desired.

Service is super fast, most of the items only take a few minutes and come out hot and fresh. In addition to the regular servers they also have several robot servers that are fun. Had a great time and great food. The staff was extremely friendly as well.

The host and servers were very knowledgeable. We were sat and handed our tablet to order our food. It was nice to pick what we wanted and how much. Bella bot and her fellow bot served us as well as the staff. When the food was delivered our order light lit up. It wasnt hard to navigate the system. We ordered about 35 things and spent about an 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant. The food was so good. Came out quickly. We were in a food coma when we were done. I think the price is right for the amount of food and atmosphere you get. $31 for lunch and $41 for dinner. Drinks are not included in the price.

The hostess confirmed our reservation and immediately sat us, the waitress quickly came and explained a menu vs. eat all you can tablet for ordering. She explained some of our order would be delivered by robot, Blue light shelf is your food, dont take from other shelves. We were encouraged to order from the all you can eat tablet, It will cost about the same as ordering from the print menu but youll get to try more dishes and you can eat as much as you want. Take note: If theres a possibility you wont like an item and might not eat most of it because of that, dont order it; because they prefer you dont waste food and rightly so. The all you can eat items delivered quite quickly. There was a sense of feeling rushed to take the dishes as soon as it was announced what each dish was. Every dish was well-presented and looked and tasted good. A bit pricey but worth the experience.

Small portions and assuming you do the all you can eat, you just try a little bit of everything. Their sushi is great, so far Ive only had the lunch menu but I believe more options are on the dinner and even further more on the a la carte menu.Ordering is sleek; they give your table a tablet, you place an order, and either a server or yes, a robot (complete with cat ears and face) comes to deliver it. The process may seem daunting to some as too modern but it really works well and I throughly enjoyed it.The restaurant itself is sleek and new and an instant fave.At time of writing they have no liquor license but if their mocktails are any indication, once that comes through their drinks will be fantastic.Love this place already and will become a regular soon.

When other staff and manager checked on us, they were all very friendly and helpful. Our waiter, however, was not the best. He wasnt friendly, seemed over the robots, and generally frustrated that it was our first time and didnt know the system. What bothered me the most was watching him wait on the table next to us as he put on a smile and then would eye roll as he walked away thinking nobody saw him. He was just generally rude & then when the check came, I didnt see an option for a custom tip, so I was forced to tip him more than I believed he should get. Im all for generous tipping, but with that attitude, I wasnt about it. I would have preferred to tip the others who checked in on us when he couldnt be bothered. We will probably go back again, but we will wait until they get their system figured out.

Comment: I was so excited for this place to open, we came on night two, they lived up to every bit of the hype there was not one thing I tried that I wasnt overly impressed with from sushi, fried rice, tempura, pad Thai, spring rolls and even there delicious deserts, this is gonna become a go to favorite of mine, and shout out to the creative director who was out on the floor engaging the guests and keeping us entertained and ensuring our experience was top notch! Great customer service and food this is a must try!!

Comment: As soon as it was announced that a new restaurant on Transit Road was opening and accepting reservations, I booked a spot on their opening day for lunch with my brother.Wind Japanese and Thai in Williamsville is a dining experience that is completely different from anything you may have ever experienced!When you walk in the door, it is immediately evident that attention to detail matters here. The dining area is beautifully decorated in a minimalist style that is quite appealing. The lighting and decor were very well thought out and create a welcoming environment.The staff are all well dressed and extremely friendly and informative. During our visit, we had direct interaction with at least 5 staff members and were acknowledged by several others. It is clear that management promotes a team approach to ensure their guests’ satisfaction.The booths are comfortable and the design of the space makes it feel relatively private. Tables with chairs or a combination of chairs with a booth are available for larger parties.Their approach to the “all you care to enjoy” menu is unique and innovative. We were provided a digital device for ordering which served well as our “tour guide’ to the many offerings. Clicking on a particular item brought up a larger photo of the dish with a detailed description. You could easily add as much of as many items as you would like. And, when you were ready for more, you pick the electronic menu back up and make your additional selections.The food came out to the table quickly, whether it was brought out by a smiling server, a friendly food runner, or a capable ROBOT! Yeah… that was fascinating!The quality of the food was fantastic. Often times in places that serve “all you can eat’, the food is bland and begins to all taste the same. We tried several beef and chicken dishes and the flavors were all different and out of this world! Many different options were found to satisfy most palates. The biggest stand out from the experience is how fresh every thing was.Management came by and they were truly interested in how are experience was. They took time and seemed to genuinely care about the guest’s experience.Perfect for business lunches and dinners, date nights, special events, or for a nice night out with family or friends, Wind is going to be a new hot spot for many! I highly recommend booking a reservation for Wind soon!
