Comment: Sushi was delicious! My daughter has been craving a sweet potato roll so decided to take her on a little dinner date. We have been to Yamasho before for the hibachi but this time decided on dinning at a table. We started with the hamachi jalapeno appetizer and edamame. The hamachi was absolutely amazing! The fish was very fresh and perfectly sliced into nice generous portions, every piece was topped with the perfect amount of spice. For sushi we ordered the Sweet Potato roll, Kani Tempura roll, Foxy Lady roll, Narnia Fantasy roll, and Surf & Turf roll. The sushi was beautifully presented and was absolutely delicious. Everything had perfectly balanced flavors and textures and everything was fresh. My favorite was the Surf & Turf roll the steak on top was cooked perfectly. Im always happy to try a unique roll and this one was amazing. My daughters only complaint was there was no sauce on the Sweet Potato roll, we just asked for a side of eel sauce and that fixed that. We also ordered the steak hibachi this was also perfectly seasoned and delicious. For dessert we had tempura ice cream and the tuxedo bomb. The tempura ice cream was very good the other dessert was just okay. I thought the presentation of the tuxedo bomb was weird to have it cut open it takes away the bomb part of the cake and doesnt match the picture on the menu. In all it was a great dinner. The service was very nice and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was okay it was not busy but we got sat close to the door and saw a lot of takeout going out or being ordered, and even if your not there for the hibachi you still will hear it and this can get load. But we will definitely be back for more sushi one day.

Comment: Pretty decent meal, nothing to write home about. Everything was very pricey, but the service was good and they had a good spread. I wasn’t too fond of how many cucumbers were in my dragon roll, but the hibachi steak was good. Dessert was tasty also! I just wish it was more flavorful and maybe offer yum yum sauce on the side?

Comment: 1st time here and was so impressed! absolutely awesome. Food was great. Service was amazing. Every single staff member was literally running making sure every table had everything they needed. I saw no guests waiting. Food came quick and as I said, food was great. Some of the best sushi I’ve had. Everything else we got had great flavor. We got the steamed dumpling which were just the right amount for an appetizer and the filling was flavorful and delicious. We also got some chicken friend rice which we shared and was so delicious. Some of the best I’ve had here in the Cuse. Definitely recommend.

Comment: I ordered takeout. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken with miso and fried rice, and chicken tempura with veggies and salad. I was told it would be about 15 minutes. That was accurate. It was 17 minutes. The veggies were fried veggies. The breading was a “fluffy” deep fried. The food was very good! The miso was good. Salad was… um, salad! Fresh. There were a lot of options on the menu. We had takeout but the inside was very clean. The hostess was friendly and professional. I would like to take my wife here for the hibachi! We will be back in the future. I give four stars for a great first time visit. I need to have the same great service and food for a five star review. But, I will be back to try some of the many food options on the menu! There is a discount if you pay cash!

Comment: We were very happy to see a Japanese restaurant open on the west side of town. As you enter, the dining room to the right offers hibachi dining, while the dining room straight ahead, contains booths and tables where we ordered off a menu that includes a large selection of sushi and sashimi and other Japanese dishes along with a few Chinese and Thai options. I highly recommend the bento box. It includes soup or salad, rice, a decorative sliced orange, and a choice of appetizer, sushi roll, and entree. The restaurant also provides a complimentary serving of warm edamame as a starter. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Comment: Placed a large order over the phone to be picked up (they offer both delivery and pickup). We all got the lunch maki specials, $12 for 3 rolls + miso soup or salad. Quick and easy ordering process, I opted to order the phone instead of the website. Amy was very thorough and I had no problems with my order. When I got there to pick up, they had a really cool box for contactless service (see video). They also have a sign outside saying theyre closed on Mondays for family, which I personally appreciate. I also saw their happy hour menu, which I hope to go to in the future. Ill be back!

I was weary of coming here the first time because it’s kinda out there by itself, but it is now my favorite place to eat in Syracuse. The samurai roll is amazing, and so are the cocktails and fried cheese cake.

I came here for a non-hibachi, sit-down meal, and was thoroughly impressed with the food presentation and quickness of the service. One particular thing that I loved was that they took the meat from my lobster tail, sauteed it, and then put the bits back into the shell, making for an easy-to-eat and lovely presentation. Staff was friendly, and took our orders very promptly as well, but we never felt rushed. Ambiance was also very nice, presenting the theme of a traditional Japanese restaurant.
