Comment: My boyfriend and I went on a date here recently and it was absolutely wonderful! The service was great, and they always made sure we were comfortable and pleased with our food. We got the calamari as an appetizer and it was the best I’ve had in quite a while. We also ordered lots sushi, which turned out to be equally delicious, and I have lots of praise for the signature volcano roll. The atmosphere was very peaceful and tranquil, and the low lighting and interior design would make it a nice place for a first date in my opinion. I truly loved it here and will definitely go back soon!

Comment: I often take visitors who come to this area to eat at Yobo. The atmosphere is great-- the place is spacious, the decor is unique and quite evocative, which is always very important for me. The menu is quite large, and the food is tasty, reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a memorable and reliably good dining experience in the Newburgh area. Theyre also open a little later than other restaurants in the area, which is a huge plus.

The owners are very personable and very kind. They say hello on the way in and goodbye when you leave. If you like sushi I would highly recommend the Dragon Roll. ;) It’s my favorite sushi roll in the entire world. For a drink, I would say try the blue Hawaiian. And for dinner… the sesame chicken! OH AND also try the Shu mai. It’s the best. As long as you’re a meat eater. For a vegetarian, they will always accommodate you and will serve a dish without meat. For desert…… I would recommend cheesecake or green tea ice cream. I could go on and on about the personable experience at this establishment and I wish I had more pictures of the food. I’ve had eel at other restaurants and had not enjoyed it due to how it was cooked. Yobo changed my opinion of eel, it was cooked perfect. The miso soup was uniquely made compared to other places I’ve been, I could barely get my face out of the bowl.Lastly, the price for what we had enjoyed was beyond reasonable.I will certainly be going here again!

I left the area for 20 years and had my own family. 5 years ago I moved back to the area and yobo was still in business. I visit yobo as dine in once a week and get lunch to go 2 times a week. We were greeted once we entered, and due to COVID-19, every state member has a mask on. Then they gave us wipes to sanitize our hands. Every table was seated at a distance from each other. They cleaned the tables with some strong cleaning agents cause I can smell it from a distance. The waiters are kind and attentive. The food was amazing. A host of other goodies, including chocolate peanut butter explosion, cheese cake, and green tea ice cream, line the shelves, offering something for the whole family. The restaurant is both clean and tidy—despite having limited space and more customers than can fit inside at one time—and all the staff members there greeted my companions and me with smiles as warm as the miso soup they serve there. I would thoroughly recommend Yobo to anyone with a desire for high quality and authentic asian food at a valuable price. I know Ill certainly be returning soon.

From the second I walked in the door, I was in awe of how beautifully set up the place was. It was cozy, had a great peaceful energy and was perfect for a nice quiet lunch.
