Comment: Some of the best sushi and ramen weve ever had. Unique sushi options like sea bass and the sashimi was delightful. The ramen was incredibly flavorful with great portions. The beef and crispy tofu were great. My husband loved the pork bun and i liked the dumplings. The mochi was good too. Wait was long ish but totally worth it. You might end up getting seated at a u shaped table with other people but that added to our experience as we got to meet new people and have a chat.

Comment: A really nice dinner at Zen Noodle. Very busy when we went so we had to sit outdoors on a rainy night. The waiter tried to make the accommodations a bit nicer. The sushi and sashimi were fantastic. Soups were delicious and served hot. I had teriyaki salmon. The salmon was overcooked. We also had pork curry over rice. I think they gave us chicken instead, I was told it tasted good. Would definitely return for the sashimi.

They do have a nice outdoor covered area, as well as single seating and group tables inside.The wait isnt too long, and was only 15 minutes.The food was extremely good and came out quickly. I had ramen and some sushi rolls. I was able to eat it all and felt full. The prices were quite affordable and competitive.The service was mediocre and I had to flag then down for more water, but as I understand for Japanese restaurants this is more normal so I didnt dock them for that.I spoke to people there while I was waiting tog etc in and they loved the place and went their regularly and it seems the staff were good about knowing the regulars and their orders.If I lived in the area, I believe I would be a regular myself.

Although my friend and I had to sit at a small table with plastic curtains. It felt rather cramped, yet the restaurant itself is quite small. And we came in on Friday night so it was expectedly busy. Im from out of town, but you can tell many of the patrons were locals and frequent the spot. Zen has some really inexpensive lunch specials. I came for ramen exclusively, but I did add one of the lunch specials. It was 2 sushi rolls and a side for $9!! Service was fast, friendly and excellent. I admit that I am very picky when it comes to sushi and ramen so I was extremely surprised when I loved both the flavorful ramen as well as the fresh sushi. I’ve been here multiple times but this is my first review. Honestly, I think at this point, I’d recommend all their ramen and all of their sushi.This time around, I ordered the spicy tonkotsu shoyu and the Viking roll. Both were incredible. The ramen broth was not too heavy or thick like some tonkotsu broths can be and the noodles were the perfect thin texture (but you can customize to your liking). The meat was tender and there were enough toppings to make me happy. The Viking roll had a few different kinds of fish and the crunch inside brought texture to the roll. The variety of fish was super fresh tasting and melted in my mouth. The mango roll was good too but the Viking roll was spectacular. The gyoza were very standard (though I would not order again).This is a very small establishment so come early or expect a wait. Also, the eating time is 90 minutes because it is so small and so many people want to eat here but the food comes out amazingly quick and hot so don’t worry about the time. It’s definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

Comment: A nice and cozy spot withing close quarters for a bowl of Ramen. They are quite cramped in terms of walkways and tables, but they make the most of their narrow building. The lighting is warm and the decor is decent and not distracting. Servers move fast and maneuver by patrons and tables well all while carrying bowls and platters of food.The lunch specials are good in terms of size and portion for sure in comparison to prices in the area. The rice bowls that come with the katsu will fill you up. I had the tonkotsu shoyu Ramen. The pork was nice and fatty and the soup was extremely rich. I was pleasantly surprised by the noodle type and the texture, as it was straight rather than squiggly. Overall, it was a filling lunch for a good price and quite close to the hubbub of Herald square. While not the best Ramen, it certainly does the trick of filling the craving when it comes.

They have $5 happy hour rolls and appetizers 4-8p which is awesome. The rolls and Ramen were delicious. We ordered the spicy tonkotsu and it was just the right spice level and the broth was very rich. The soft boiled egg was perfect, and you get 2 halves (some places only give 1) which was nice . We would most definitely go back again.They offer indoor and outdoor seating and the bathroom was very clean which is much appreciated. She suggested I call the dessert after finishing all the food I ordered because I might be too full to have the dessert. Consequently, she was so right. Although I didnt enjoy the dessert this time, I definitely will come back and have meals here. You’ll be seated and treated immediately. But since the waiters tend to be busy & rushing with orders expect to raise your hand / call their attention whether ordering, asking for the check or needing anything other. Because 7/10 they won’t stop to check on you but i had 0 problem with that, guess that’s just how they run. The FOOD?! SO SO BOMB. I struggled to find a nice sushi spot in the city that isn’t over expensive, too fancy but this place is cozy and affordable . The food is super delicious especially their spicy seafood soup 🤤. Comment: This place was interesting because you can get ramen and sushi rolls (no actual sushi). They have a happy hour on weeknights where selected rolls, apps, and drinks were $5 each. Also had their spicy shoyu ramen. Wasnt quite as flavorful as a ramen specialty shops around NYC but it was good complement to the sushi rolls.

Comment: Went to Zen for Happy Hour, it was amazing!! Seeweed salad was sooo good, sushi was fresh and excellent, Litchi margarita also great. So were the gioza and fried shrimp. At the Happy Hour rate each of these dishes was only $5. The place itself was lovely with quick service. LOVED it ❤️

Comment: We are so glad to choose this over 4 other ramen places nearby. Although the city never disappoints and most of the places are amazing. We got in at around 6:15 pm on a Friday eve and there were 3 groups waiting before us. We got a table inside within 15 mins.The server came to us immediately and we order drinks. He was full of humor when we were ordering drinks. We ordered buns for appetizer and Ramen for entree after a while. She loved the buns it was full of flavor.We ordered the Spicy Veg Ramen and Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were delicious and full of flavor. We also got 2 green tea matcha ice cream for desert which was amazing.Even though it was crowded the service was exceptional. Everything on time, great quality and amazing staff. Thank you so much, keep it up and we will surely be back again.

Comment: Wow, just wow. The ramen here was just simply amazing. After venturing out to Ippudo which was also great, this place is also great and it doesnt have an out the door line. The house hot sake was just delicious, I started with a small and then ended up getting a large as well. It had a nice subtle sweet aroma to it that just made it taste amazing, paired that with a Sapporo and youll be in heaven. I know I was haha. I had the spicy pork belly ramen which was out of this world. The spice level was just right, and the pork belly was cooked to perfection. I cant recommend this place highly enough. Easily on of my favorites! A must try, if your in the area.

Comment: I wasn’t sure where I was going to eat but Zen Ramen & Sushi caught my attention. When I first walked in the ladies at the front were so sweet! Everyone was incredibly nice! I loved how there’s one huge table in which you sit with total strangers. The Ramen I got was too delicious, it was medium spicy. The pork was so tendered, juicy and with such an amazing flavor! I am going to come back hopefully soon love from Texas!

Comment: Great sushi in the middle of Manhattan! (Korea Town) we were able to get a table for four at no wait time and the happy hour prices for rolls and drinks are amazing!!! Phenomenal find in NYC. If youre craving sushi I recommend coming here

Comment: 1- Food cooked very well. (Got beef ramen) but didn’t like soup of ramen. I had better than this.2- Place’s atmosphere is very good and also very clean.3- Rolls and Sushi’s are fresh and tasty.4- Staffs are very kind and smiley.( I rated 4 stars because he didn’t ask us our choice “miso soup or salad”, he brought miso soup. )

Comment: This. Is. Delicious.I dont know ramen well, but I know good flavor, and this has it. Had the vegetable and tofu ramen and my friend had the tonkatsu pork ramen.Just fantastic. Ill be returning today with my husband for my birthday. Enjoy the pictures!I WILL say that it is not fast food, so dont expect it quickly, but if youre there with a friend, you wont mind the time. :)P.S. later, my husband and i also had potato shrimp and shrimp gyoza and karaage with friend chicken!

Comment: Our favorite ramen spot so far.Zen has a good selection to pick from with 4 different broths, 4 different noodle types and an array of toppings to customize to your preferences for the day. And both the bonito broth and the pork broth taste great. For you spicy lovers out there, the spice level is good and decently spicy (unlike typical midtown spicy). Highly recommend the Spicy (or normal if you cant do spicy) Tonkatsu Ramen.Price is reasonable and there are happy hours 5-8p on weekdays to go for. Happy hour was good to go for with good margaritas, mojitos, and martinis at $5 a glass.Atop that, service is great; servers are attentive an friendly.Look forward to coming again after work.e

Comment: Good quality food! I had sushi one time, i felt so goo after it, same wish ramen. This confirma the quality of the ingredients and the prices are good. The location is clean, people are nice and music is cool
